I like the story of Joseph Bau very much. Beautiful, exciting and inspiring. I hope that the daughters of the Bau will be able to keep this place for other travelers to tell them the story of their father. I wish them luck! Love :)

This is not a traditional museum. Rather, it is a 12-room guided tour with film and panoramas that describe a particular group of volunteers in the Palmach during 1938-1948 period.

I recommend that one starts with the daily free tour on the third floor. This for me was the most interesting as it presented current thoughts, perspectives, observance and cultures of Jews from all around the world There were explanations for all the above. The question often asked is whether being Jewish is a religion, a nationality, a culture, or an identity feeling. This was shown through video presentations of all types. The second floor traced the history the antisemitism and the movement of the Jews interesting and well-presented for young and old. This is very different from the Diaspora Museum

This center offers a running commentary in our own language through a serious of window scenes. One side follows Rabin's life. The other side follows Israeli history and politics. It is a very helpful presentation of the two as they fit together.

I saw a sign while shopping in Neve Tzedek, pointing to the Gutman. I then looked online and saw positive reviews for the museum so I stopped by. Really nice space, and if you like Jaffa, there are some great paintings of old Jaffa. The museum is small, so one needs no more than hour to see everything. There's also a nice gift shop. Generally requires an entry (reasonable) but was free on the day I went.

This museum succinctly tells the story of the Lehi, and it's founder. There are some artifacts to see and a very well thought out amount of English writing to read about the organization. It is housed in the apartment abuilding where Stern was killed, so there is also this bonus bit of history that you can also experience. There is an English movie that details his life and death, which was good to watch and it was displayed in the same room in which he actually lived and was killed. I also found the curator to be very friendly and took time to give me an introduction to the museum and to show me how to have the best experience. Photo identification is required for entry, such as a driver's license.

If you don't know much about Jabotinsky, this museum is a good place to start. It mainly offers two movies, one an imagined conversation between Jabotinksy and his son, summarizing his life, as well as a movie about the clandestine attempts to bring Jewish immigrants to Palestine during the British Mandate when the British had closed the land to immigration. The museum is hard to find, however. It is on the upper floor of the museum of the Irgun and reachable from the side street or by visiting the Irgun Museum and then going upstairs.

I make mosaics as a hobby and love to see other's work for inspiration. I found out about this museum accidentally when looking for something else on google. My daughter and I visited a few days ago and were overwhelmed by the dedication, quantity, display, and humor. We will definitely be back because it's hard to take it all in at one visit.

I've never seen a museum dedicated to eyeglasses before. Provides an interesting history of eyewear through the centuries. Worth a stop for a few minutes in you are in Sarona. (In back of an eyeglass store.)
