What travelers are saying
- Eperez47 contributionsI came to this store in Tel Aviv well prepared to purchase a beautiful hand made menorah made of bronze that the store keeper had talked about. She was very generous in price and educated me in Israeli art history with items that are both antique and contemporary. Wonderful experience!Written 15 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ValebjMiami, FL18 contributionsAntiques Gallery is a beautiful store. The owner, Samir, is very interesting and talkative once you engage in conversation with him.
There are many beautiful pieces of Damascus furniture, as well as jewelry that is sold "as a side job" --the real deal is the furniture.Written 24 March 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I had been looking forward to visiting Malka Pollak’s shop of antique and original maps in Tel Aviv for several years, so when I finally made it back to Israel, 42 King George Street was a definite stop on my itinerary.
I enjoy bringing home some kind of meaningful piece of art from each trip and a map was my goal this time.
The owner Malka is a joy in all ways. Delightful, unbelievably passionate and knowledgeable about her inventory and so helpful and spot on in understanding what a customer is looking for.
A unique shop and wonderful experience is in store for you. Thank you Malka!Written 17 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It features some attractive pieces by a range of better known artists from Israel and elsewhere, including Agam and Meisler.
Prices are top end and nothing is marked. I was concerned to be quoted two widely different figures for the same piece by different staff members on two successive days, which, understandably, put me off.Written 16 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
