What travelers are saying
- Rahel S. Mamonov1 contributionElchi definitely made my first experience in Eretz Yisrael an unforgettable one. His vast knowledge on all the trips we went, sites we visited, and activities we did added so much meaning to everything. No matter how many trips he has done, his spirit never dies and he continues to make each moment special. His fun and spiritual personality is exciting and inspiring. Elchi is not just a regular tour guide, it is evident that he puts in a lot of effort between the lines to make your trip memorable, fun, and meaningful.Written 31 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laurel1 contributionHighly recommend Roni! We were so grateful for how well he took care of our 20+ person group. He knew everyone's names on the first day and was very attentive to all of our needs. He could seemingly answer any questions, whether geopolitical or religious, and he brought his own experiences to share as well. I especially appreciated how well he knew and drew out the relevant scripture for the places we visited. He kept us moving but was never overbearing, but rather humble, gracious, and funny. We saw, learned, and absorbed an incredible amount all over Israel in just five days. Thank you Roni! We will recommend you to all of our friends traveling to Israel.Written 27 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vottut1 contributionTraveling with Sasha is wonderful! All stories are very interesting, each issue is considered from different angles. Sasha knows how to feel the group and knows exactly what is worth telling and what to pay attention to. I am very glad that my trip was with him!Written 23 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- John WMarietta, GA3 contributionsWhen you're visiting a nation you've read and dreamed of all your life, you want a capable, qualified consummate tour guide, and we were privileged to find all that and more in Boaz Malachi, a genuine Sabra. He not only was engaging, fun at times yet serious for those many moments where it called for a more sacred setting. He would augment the historical significance of a momentous stop in Israel with Scripture reading, which he passionately shared. Boaz is intuitive and creative enough that if a church group of sojourners had someone slated to read a Bible passage, he was quick to let that happen.
We not only felt comfortable and at ease with Boaz but also incredibly safe! For people who think the Middle East is all fraught with terror and anxiety, this is not the case in Israel, and Boaz makes certain that his guests feel a relaxed and secure presence. There was never a question among us like "what's happening now?" or "where are we going?" We always knew what was happening, plus, he would take the time to answer every question from our group. Boaz Malachi has a way of creating lasting and meaningful memories. I've recommended him freely for the past two years to whomever is planning their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Israel. The fact that our tour organizer said on more than one occasion "This is my best tour guide" made us that much more blessed. Thank you, Boaz, and may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless you and your family always!Written 23 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He is one of those special people who you meet by chance in your lifetime, who has a huge, positive impact on you and how you will see things from that point forward.
We had a last minute change of vacation plans which lead us to Israel. We initially found him listed on Trip Advisor, and after reading his (hundreds of all 5 star) reviews, decided we would never be able to book with him last minute. We kept searching, and upon booking an Airbnb, asked our local host for suggestions for a private tour guide. Again, Iddo was suggested to us with direct contact info. The whole trip has been one of miracles, in that we even went to Israel. I took the hint, and made contact. A few hours later, he responded and this began our life changing experience, ultimately expanding our knowledge of Israel, including the Holy Land, but also archaeology and the meanings behind the things we would see, and how it all comes together to what we see today, but also, where it came from over the last 1000, 2000, 3000 plus years in the making.
Iddo is not just a tour guide with 45 years experience, who also speaks perfect English. He is an archaeologist with decades of experience with his own team involved in active recovery, multilingual, highly regarded and internationally recognized for his work, great knowledge in the Holy areas, a native Israelite, who also knows/studies the Christian religion and is a highly educated historian who is knowledgeable regarding other religions. Best of all, his down to earth character with a gift of explaining extensive information, in smaller chunks, though casual conversation, on a level you can understand, makes him one of a kind.
We were educated beyond even knowing what to ask. We saw things that others would never see, had access to places other guides probably don’t even know about, treated as friends or perhaps, even like family at times. There was never a question left unanswered, engaged in thought provoking discussions, with introductions to others who are also well known in their own fields, to collaborate further. Shopping was at a whole new level when taken to shops, where we also made new friends, being further educated by those with 300+ years in the family trade business of antiquities, history and more. To say we scratched the surface with Iddo in our four days has a double meaning. We both scratched the surface in our quick tours of Jerusalem Holy areas, Dead Sea, Jordan River baptism site, Galilee area, and Nazareth. But, we opened new and deeper understandings of many things. Both culturally, archaeologically and spiritually in our tours with Iddo. He is also an excellent driver, and has a wonderful touring Surburban, with all the bells and whistles, making your time with him seeing many areas of the country, very comfortable. And, as an added bonus, he is a great photographer who captures your time there, and shares a folder with you along the way of excellent pictures that we could never have taken ourselves.Written 18 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He was fantastic with our children - patient, kind, engaging, attentive and helpful, particularly at the chocolate factory. He made our daughter’s birthday very special. His explanations and history lessons were fascinating and accessible for all of us. Looking forward to working with Simon on our next trip. - Jackie G1 contributionMy most favorite part is when we visited the Church of Annunciation & Old Jerusalem, Church of Holy Sepulchre. Very solemn and heart warming that I felt I was with Mama Mary & Jesus in my journey. Tour guide named Khaled was super knowledgeable and detailed and he also puts some humor in it which makes it more interesting and lively. I just cannot explain the feeling when I entered the Tomb of Jesus, I was holding on to my tears, it really touched my heart. Being a Christian is such a wonderful experience to see the real places and not just reading it from the Bible. In my more than 20 years in the travel industry, I have always been dreaming and wishing all my life to visit Israel and I guess it is indeed true that when things are meant to happen, it will come in God’s perfect time. Tala Tours made an amazing memorable experience and I will surely keep this forever in my heart♥️ Thank you Tala Tours for the wonderful team who took care of us during the trip, very grateful and hoping to come back again soon.Written 21 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Felipe M1 contributionMaor was our guide during our Holy Land trip. He is very knowledgeable and speaks Spanish, (we were with a group from Mexico). I highly recommend Maor for your next trip. He is very nice and answered our questions enthusiastically. You can’t go wrong with Maor.
Recomiendo a Maor para su siguiente paseo de la Tierra Santa. Maor sabe la historia de Israel y contesta sus preguntas con enthusiasmo. No puede escoger alguien más mejor que Maor.Written 22 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - אודט ג6 contributionsWe had Haim Ohana guide us through Jerusalem at a team spirit building day from the office. Haim's professionalism and warm and pleasant attitude were significant and had huge, good impact on the whole trip.
Thanks to him we got to know different places in Jerusalem that I doubt we'd find out by ourselves.
I can't recommend Haim's tour guide enough! I have no doubt the next time I'm gonna have a trip to Jerusalem, the only your guide I'm gonna ask for is Haim.Written 6 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
