I went with a local club, mostly seniors, and Simon Oster was a wonderful guide -- very knowledgable, enthusiastic and companionable. It was a hot day in the Lower Galilee, and choosing to take us to visit Bet She'arim's famed necropolis was not only inspired, it showed a level of concern for our comfort and safety, as the caves were easy enough to access and naturally cool. Most of us were fit enough to hike up a short hill to visit local landmark and look out over the Jezreel Valley, while the few who didn't feel up to it were invited to stay behind in the comfort of the coach. He exhibited patience, humor and concern every step of the way. I look forward to future trips with Simon.

Roni Stern made everything about our trip to Israel memorable and special and once in a lifetime. I will never travel again without hiring a local guide with as much knowledge, humor, local insights, and historical information as Roni Stern. The children laughed and forgot about the walking and enjoyed it so much especially as we look back on it! Best local guide experience!!!!

Rabbi Alon was most insightful, friendly and opened for us the most incredible day of learning and sightseeing combined. Nothing was too much for him. We came away for our day uplifted and inspired. I can’t wait to be in touch with him when I return for my next trip and can’t recommend him enough!!

    PROS
    • The main bus center for Jerusalem
    • Located at the “entrance” to the city
    • It is possible to travel by bus to just about anywhere in the country from here
    • Full and complete service “Rav Kav” national travel card service and information center.
    • Some (fast) food options (all with kosher supervision, many of which are “elegant”) and stores
    • Good for people watching (and candid photographs)

    CONS
    • Busy and crowded
    • Congested and noisy
    • People running to their buses
    • Poorly designed and too narrow main passageways
    • Can be confusing- not at all so clear what is where
    • Many sales exhibits and food concessions are permanent stands and booths in the narrow public passageways and not in stores.
    • The bus losing and descent areas are very poorly ventilated and with thick bus exhaust fumes
    • Not very clean at all.
    • Inefficient transport between floor levels

    “I VISITED THIS PLACE”…
… as I have hundreds of times since it was built and completed in the 1990s, and that purpose was to use it to take the bus somewhere.

Now that there is the adjacent adjoining train station, there must be less foot traffic here, but it didn’t seem that way to me.

    ADVICES
This is a place that one goes to because one needs to avail oneself off is services- specifically to take a bus somewhere, or maybe to eat something while passing by, or to get something from one of the stores.

If you want to see how Israeli citizens run and race and sometimes push and shove to crowd onto intercity buses, this could be the place for you to do that.

If you want to know and understand Israel, you could not find a better guide than Iddo Katz. His historical, cultural, archaeological and contemporary knowledge of the country are unparalleled. And his winning personality kept even our teenage kids engaged. He’s also a fantastic driver. Iddo will cater your tour to your interests and wishes and provide you with an experience guaranteed to be memorable. You will come to rely on him as your trusted Sherpa. Everywhere we went, locals knew Iddo. He knows everyone. Other professional guides told us how lucky we were. If he is available when you are traveling, grab him.

Nesher Taxi advertises prompt reliable service in air conditioned vehicles from the Tel Aviv airport to locations in Jerusalem. In our recent trip they delivered none of these. Despite a booking website, they never responded to multiple requests to confirm an airport pickup.
When we entered a shared ride vehicle with a price of $20/person we expected to leave within a short while. After a wait of 50 minutes with no movement, the driver said that either we would wait for one more rider or each pay $3/more to get going. While this was not a hardship, it is absolutely unacceptable way to do business. During the entire time in 90 degree heat there was no air conditioning.

When you're visiting a nation you've read and dreamed of all your life, you want a capable, qualified consummate tour guide, and we were privileged to find all that and more in Boaz Malachi, a genuine Sabra. He not only was engaging, fun at times yet serious for those many moments where it called for a more sacred setting. He would augment the historical significance of a momentous stop in Israel with Scripture reading, which he passionately shared. Boaz is intuitive and creative enough that if a church group of sojourners had someone slated to read a Bible passage, he was quick to let that happen.
We not only felt comfortable and at ease with Boaz but also incredibly safe! For people who think the Middle East is all fraught with terror and anxiety, this is not the case in Israel, and Boaz makes certain that his guests feel a relaxed and secure presence. There was never a question among us like "what's happening now?" or "where are we going?" We always knew what was happening, plus, he would take the time to answer every question from our group. Boaz Malachi has a way of creating lasting and meaningful memories. I've recommended him freely for the past two years to whomever is planning their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Israel. The fact that our tour organizer said on more than one occasion "This is my best tour guide" made us that much more blessed. Thank you, Boaz, and may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless you and your family always!

Tala International as partner operator of Philippines's Las Palmas Travel and Tours did an excelent transportation and tourist guide services. Our pilgrimage tours in Jerusalem, Nazareth and Israel were best handled by ablest Youseff who is very knowledgeable of the bible verses related to the holy places we've been to. He starts the briefing of the place with Bible readings which we all apporeciate. Ahib is a good and careful driver. Bus is comfortable and bottled water is always available. Wifi is good enough but sometimes are disconnected. Overall, Tala International Tours did an excellent service. I have good words for Yousseff who is very personal in dealing with us.
