The Temple Mount adjoins the Old City of Jerusalem. It is sacred to Muslims, Jews and Christians. The Temple Mount is a plateau. The Al Aksa Mosque is the third holiest site in Islam. The Dome of the Rock is quite fascinating, it is said that Mohamad rode his magic horse Barak to heaven, where he conversed with the Prophets. You can see Barak's hoof print. Orthodox Jews often pray on the Temple Mount, which is the site of the ancient Temple. By the way, if you want to enter the Temple Mount, it's best to make arrangements in advance.

    Amazing feeling being there.

We were there on a Sunday: mass started 6am and ended 7am.
The tomb opened right after the mass at 7am. People following the mass were the first to enter.

Absolutely no lines at this time. Me and my wife could enter there twice with a 2min. maximum line.

So the recommendation is to arrive early in the morning. Tomb opening time on Sunday: 7am. Mess start on Sunday: 6am.

This is a mostly finished church with a small interior. The attractions are the plaques around the Church that are the Our Father written in many different languages-some languages that are almost extinct. they are beautifully crafted. There is also a small garden.

such an important site to bring tourists, and is near Jericho, the site is being now renovated and it will be larger in order to accept more visitors.

Amazing how the tourists feel when visiting the site.

This hotel for pilgrims is incredible. When you walk in the door as a Catholic, you feel like you’re coming home. The building is absolutely stunning, very classic, and very tastefully decorated. The chapel is beautiful, and the artwork everywhere is wonderful. The staff is top notch and very welcoming almost everywhere. The dining room food is delicious and the landscaping is gorgeous. We also visited the attached exhibit about the Shroud of Turin, and it was exceptional. Finally, the location of this hotel is so convenient—right outside the New Gate to the Old City of Jerusalem. The two reasons I did not give this property 5 stars is because the staff at the rooftop bar was rude to our party, and it was impossible to get a reservation for some reason, even though our group was flexible on timing and they would have made a lot of money just serving us one drink. The other reason is because the first room my husband and I were given (room 306) smelled so strongly of mold/mildew that we couldn’t stay there. There appeared to be mildew in the shower. The second room we were given, 313, was still smelly but less so. Unfortunately, the toilet had trouble flushing and our shower head stand was broken. We also did not get our room cleaned at all during our two night stay. I think that was an honest mistake due to us changing rooms, but still, it would have been nice. Other than the rooms perhaps needing some work, and the rooftop bar inaccessibility and snooty staff, we loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to any Catholic pilgrims to Jerusalem.
