2. kosher Israel wine tour

5.0 of 5 bubbles3
Spring Break7–10 hoursEnglish +1

Wine is an integral part of Jewish and Israeli culture. Half of Jacob's blessing to Judah was connected to wine: כִּבֵּס בַּיַּיִן לְבֻשׁוֹ וּבְדַם־עֲנָבִים סוּתֹהן In the days of King Solomon’s rule, there was peace: "every man under his vine, and under his fig tree,." Micha's vision for world peace reflects almost the same saying. Ancient Egyptian historians describe Canaan as the best place for wine. Roman historians describe the amazing quality of wine in the Land of Israel. The references go on and on. A kosher wine tour can be a wonderful experience filled with history, laughter, and tasty delights. I would like you to experience it in the best possible way. Today there are hundreds of boutique wineries all over the country. Most of them have been awarded international prizes, and all of them have a unique story.

Urban Walking & Food Tour in Tel Aviv

5.0 of 5 bubbles7
Food & Drink5 hoursEnglish

Stroll the famous Rothschild Boulevard from Habima to Ahuzat Bayit, the neighborhood that was renamed Tel Aviv in 1910. While walking you learn about the problems of the founding families, their success in building a modern Hebrew city and enjoy the beautifully restored Bauhaus architecture. Next we will visit gentrified Neve Tzedek. From a slum that was about to be erased, it became home to over a dozen billionaires. This charming, chic, neighborhood from the 19th century is now filled with boutiques, cafe’s, restaurants and elegant fashion and jewelry stores. For the tasting part (not on Friday and Saturday) we continue to another old neighborhood, built in 1904 for poor immigrants from Yemen. Their market grew into the largest one of Tel Aviv. This Carmel Market also survived the city's obliteration plans and is thriving now. In addition to the fruits and vegetables stalls and little Yemenite restaurants it now has many bars, eateries and chef-owned food spots.

My husband and I did three private tours with Ori on our recent visit to Jerusalem. We did the Dead City & Masada, Israel Museum and the Old City. All were great experiences. Ori was always on time and asked questions about our preferences to help guide our tours. I'm confident we had experiences that we wouldn't have otherwise done without him. Ori was always willing to assist and be available when we weren't certain of plans. He
will take good care of you - highly recommend.
