Our guide, Elias, was informative and entertaining. He also got our group into the church via a side door as it was raining and another group was blocking the entrance. I took the tour when there were some “tensions” but I always felt safe with Yoav. - Rob BDallas, TX36 contributionsThis tour was amazing! The tour of Bethlehem was nice, but then I was the only one that went to the Dead Sea. My driver was Ziad and he ended up being so helpful and friendly! Telling me about so much about the areas and even taking me to the Baptism site for Jesus on the Jordan and showed me a little of Jericho on the way to pick up the others who had done that tour. Our tour guide in Bethlehem was very kind and was very helpful in assisting us into the sites. He gave us a lot of important facts about the places we were visiting. - Alison M6 contributionsWhat an amazing experience of Bethlehem and the monasteries of the Judean desert. Michael even adjusted the tour for some closings to include the Herodion. Michael has an intimate knowledge of these sites, a wonderful appreciation of them and he is personally connected with the entire region. What a gift to have found him! - BlaineAggieTulsa, OK6 contributionsThe two monasteries are magical and mystical. Getting to see where the Desert Fathers began their prayer was one of the most special experiences of my life. We took a side trip to the church associated with the tomb of Lazarus. The Milk Grotto church was beautiful and peaceful. The only problem was that the guide was not the best. He did not understand us most of the time and argued with us. We have been in Bethlehem earlier in the week and our guide was excellent. - carolsolichMelbourne, Australia4 contributionsMy mother, sister and I did a day trip with Hazem and we could not recommend him enough. He is a wonderful, friendly and passionate guide.
It was an incredible tour: insightful, interesting and importantly we felt safe the entire time. Hazem had an incredible amount of knowledge and was able to answer every one of our questions throughout the day.
He also took us to one of the best places for lunch.
