I saw a free local exhibit highlighting the unsung heroes in Cambodia’s trash/recycling stream - the Edjais. Afterward I went upstairs and watched a few archival videos on Pol Pot which were fascinating.

Not really was I thought it was, still, they accommodated us for our best experience.

The shooting range is a bit far from the city but the Driver made the trip nice with a smooth driving.

I believe that most people would shoot randomly at the forest. I wanted to shoot at paper targets, they made it possible.

We shot a variety to rifles and heavy machine guns ! it was really fun, something that I can't do normally in my home country.

Booking was neat and easy via WhatsApp, and prices where clear, as the price list they have on their website.

TRUNKH is one of those shops that you know you've hit the jackpot from the moment you walk in the door. You can see Cambodian antique treasures professionally nestled beside gorgeous hand made (in Cambodia of course) jewellery and then you spy stunning linen and cotton attire that is designed and made onsite and the scent of the handmade candles draws your attention in another direction when you spy the fabulous cards and mugs that depict the charm and happy energy that is 'life in Cambodia'. It's such a bonus that the owners are more like friends in their happy, helpful approach to their customers as TRUNKH is one place you want to spend a lot of time. I love that TRUNKH is a capsule of 'all things cool, quirky and practical' made in Cambodia. I congratulate the TRUNKH team for the support they quietly give to many amongst the Cambodian community. I agree with another review, five stars is not enough!

This shop, located in the Aeon mall sells different high quality souvenirs from all around cambodia. They also sell local small batch spirits of which you have probably never heard before.

We had a completely amazing time - the chef who hosted us had very good English and 10 years cooking experience. We started off by deciding which meals we were to make with our fellow classmates and then set off to the market to source the ingredients. At the market he let us taste a few unfamiliar Cambodian fruits in addition to the ingredients we sought. He also went into great detail when describing the various fruits and vegetables we came across. We felt that he invested a lot of effort to immerse us in our Cambodian food experience. The cooking was really well instructed and the dishes were totally delicious. Couldn’t recommend more!!

I first found D. Hindley, while looking for a sapphire engagement ring for my wife, 5 years ago. David's website was one of the only places where I found clear information about Cambodian gemstones and I wasn't getting a good feeling from the local jewellery stores I visited.

As soon as I walked into the D. Hindley shop and spoke to David and his partner Sovann, I felt at ease and knew that I had nothing to worry about. The shop is beautiful and reminds me of a jewellery store you would find in the West.

They have a wide range of jewellery designs and loose stones, specializing in beautiful high quality Cambodian gems like sapphires, rubies, emeralds and other stones such as diamonds, blue and white zircon, aquamarine, topaz and many more.

In the past five years I have bought many rings, earrings, necklaces and other items from them, usually gold and sapphires. Most have been custom made based on designs of my choice. David and Sovann are very accommodating, they can make anything you have in mind and will give you reliable advice and choices to suit your style and budget. They are also great about offering to remake jewellery in case you or your loved one wants something changed or resized.

In a place like Phnom Penh, it is wonderful to know that there is a shop like D. Hindley, that you can trust and rely on, to ensure that you get that special piece that you want for yourself or your loved one.

I cannot recommend D. Hindley, enough, if you are not sure go and take a look yourself, talk to David and Sovann and I assure you, you will feel comfortable and be thrilled with the beautiful work that they do.

Hands down the best jeweller in the country, and to be honest you will have a hard time finding better stones, quality and service than D. Hindley offers, anywhere in the world!

I loved the bar, and I was holding a going away party and the bar was able to deliver a bunch of delicious food to the ceremony. Everything from Spaghetti (which was fantastic) to fajitas, to vegan chili, chips and dip, salads, and so so much more. 100% recommend the bar for fun times, and their food/catering as well.
    THANK YOU CLOUD!

Thanks to Lea for a fantastic visit and breakfast by tuk-tuk to authentic and colourful ‘locals’ market and off the beaten track for street art. Really highly recommended.

We did the behind the scenes tour of Wildlife Alliance at Phnom Tamao. Our guides, Samedi and Vut, were absolutely exceptional and really took time to explain everything thoroughly and provide comprehensive answers to all my questions. Prior to the tour, I felt this was quite expensive, but having finished the tour I appreciate that rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife is indeed expensive work. Additionally when considering all their operations which we didnt experience first hand in other parts of Cambodia, I am pleased I contributed to such a great organisation. We also briefly met and spoke with the director, Nick, at one point during the day which was cool. Thanks Wildlife Alliance for showing us what you do.

We had the most amazing day here thanks to our guides Alicia and Samedi.
When I booked this in the UK it seemed pricey and I wasn’t sure how good it would be, but honestly it was probably one of the best days of my life.
We were collected from Phnom Pen and driven an hour to the wildlife rescue, with a stop at the market to buy fruit for the animals.
We went to find Lucky the elephant who walks freely in the park and we’re able to feed her by had and have photos. We then went back to the elephant enclosure to meet the other elephants. Lucky was back before us. We had a really informative talk on the rescue work being done, fed the other female elephant and met the 2 boys including Chuch who lost his leg in a snare and has to wear a prosthetic.
We visited the sun and moon bears, saw crocodiles, cloudy leopard other animals.
Lucky had been shown how to paint as an enrichment activity and really enjoyed it. We put on raincoats with a t shirt on top and Lucky painted the t shirts for us.
We have a fantastic lunch cooked by one of the keepers wives, spent time swinging in a hammock drinking from a coconut and relaxing.
After lunch we visited the apes and monkeys. We were allowed to go into the enclosure with the juvenile macacks, we held food for them while they climbed on our heads and arms. It was so great to get so close.
We also went to the nursery to see the babies and the slightly younger monkeys.
We went to see Fari, a tiger who had been rescued from a circus. We behind the scenes where the public are not usually allowed. We could get really good photos as we were only 1 metre away from her.
Lastly we visited the gift shop for momentos.
We really had a wonderful time. Our guides were so friendly and informative and very passionate about the work they do. It was great knowing that the money we paid for our once in a lifetime experience was going to help such an important cause.
Thank you so much Alicia and Samedi.

Thong Chea gave us a fantastic tour of the area We traveled to several islands by boat and took off on bike to explore silk weaving, tofu skin rendering, temples, and markets. Thong is an intelligent and knowledgeable guide. He answered all of our questions!!! His English is excellent.
We traveled approximately 17 kilometers by bike between boat trips. We are both in our upper 60’s in age and Thong provided water and interesting stops. Lunch was served by a local family and was delicious!
I highly recommended a bike journey with Thong as a highlight to your trip. It’s local and very well done.

Just got back from having the absolute best time volenteering with Free The Bears at Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre in Cambodia. For me it was the highlight of my trip around Cambodia and if you're a wildlife lover this is an absolute must-see. If you have some spare time, I would highly recommend volenteering here for whatever duration of time you have available.

I loved getting to spend time with all the rescue Sun and Moon bears and learn about all the amazing work the keepers and organisation do to support bears coming from really difficult situations. The bears are very well cared for and its clear the keepers are very passionate about what they do.

Loads of opportunities for photos of bears and other wildlife, plus getting really close in a way that's safe for visitors and bears. Also got to meet lots of really lovely people, including other volunteers and staff.

Day to day activities were interesting and varied, including cleaning up after the bears, preparing food and feeding them, making hammocks as well as enrichment activities. The volenteer program is well run and all the staff are very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. The transport, accomodation and food included in the volenteer fee all exceeded my expectations. I felt extremely safe at all times as a solo female traveller.

Wanted to say a special thanks to Tawny, the volenteer coordinator, who has a brilliant attitude, enthusiasm and who also went above and beyond to be as helpful as possible in every situation, even after my volenteering stay had ended.

I can't wait to visit some of the other Free The Bears sanctuaries, and if I'm ever back in Cambodia I will definitely return!
