Fantastic afternoon admiring the buildings and learning more about Vietnamese culture, especially for the young people and students.

An eye opener to the diversity of Vietnam and some important historical events. Probably about 3 hours is required to get an understanding.

Expertly curated with a fantastic audio guide. The captions are sensitively written, with a good appreciation for interesting detail and allowing the women and minority groups to speak for themselves. The history section is particularly moving and the marriage customs also well done. One of the most progressive and nuanced museum collections I’ve ever seen. Could easily have spent 2-3 hours there, sadly had to rush for a flight!

Quite a bizarre yet harrowing experience. The information was limited so I would advise getting the audio guide to give you more insight (we were googling things on our phones). Also, very very biased side of history depicting the American prisoners of war attending a ‘holiday camp’ and saying that they did not want to leave. Altogether, still very interesting.

Me and dad were at Serein Cafe sipping coffee and the train was departing from the station moving slowing along Long Bien Bridge, recommend people to go there around late afternoon to enjoy the sunset and the night view and to see the train departing or arriving at the station.

Yup...the Opera House is very like the Paris Opera House (just smaller!) for one second you simply believe that you're in Paris. It's a lovely structure which, fortunately, is spared all of the communist propaganda of festoon & written notices on its leading so you are able to benefit from the lines of the structure of the structure.

Although only open now Saturday & Sunday. It is a very impressive building built originally by the French. But now only approximately 10 % of the population are Catholic.

The collection here is amazing. There are temple sculptures, Buddhas, and religious iconography on the first floor. My favorites were the upper floors where there are amazing engraving and lacquer works and some really compelling portraits and depictions of war. My main complaint is that the info in the museum is pretty sparse and inconsistent. Even with the audio guide, there were some rooms that had a ton of descriptors and some that had none. It doesn't do the collection justice. But I'm so glad I stumbled across it and went in!

Very interesting visit to see the preserved body of the revered leader of Vietnam.
Strict control and run by the military. No loitering or talking photos inside the chamber.
Cannot take photos inside. But outside of the building & gardens ok

Well maintained Pagoda in Hanoi. One of the attractions in the Hop-on Hop Off bus plan and one can also go via Grab. Interesting perspective around the Law of Karma can be read on the board with illustration. They had a few orange plants with at least 100s of baby oranges in each of them.

Built in 1990, "Ho Chi Minh Museum" is part of the "Ho Chi Minh Complex" around "Ba Dinh Square" in Hanoi's "Old Quarter". It praises the memory of Vietnam's first President and National Hero, Ho Chi Minh (*May 9, 1890 +September 2, 1969). Inside, eight chronological exhibitions cover different parts of his life and memorabilia. Before going, please check carefully its visiting hours and dress properly. Entry fees almost inexpensive. Combine your visit with other nearby attractions. Enjoy!

Spent a great morning here. Unsurprisingly much of the focus is upon the French and American conflicts. I can't imagine that there's collection anywhere else in the world of US helicopters, planes, and other military vehicles to rival the one that the museum has

Not quite as spectacular as the Citadel in Hue but definitely worth a visit. You are given a map at the ticket office with a suggested route, which is worth following, as you could otherwise miss so much. Very interesting to see the Command Headquarters and bunkers from the war, with good original exhibit. We spent a good couple of hours wandering around as there is quite a lot to see.
