This was an amazing trip that we would 100% recommend to all considering coming to Sapa. It was 3 days of walking, with 2-3 hours of walking a day on average. Some of the climbs were a bit difficult at times, so would be cautious if you're not a confident hiker. Would also recommend some good shoes with ankle support! Keep in mind it's also worth bringing lots of cash, as many of the local vendors will only accept cash for their wares. Many saleswomen will come along with you on the trek and help you along the way, and offer you their wares towards the end of each walk, so always good to have a bit of cash on you then to express your gratitude for their help too!
There was plenty of time for rest in between each walk as well, time to unwind in Ta Van village and see the nearby shops.
Our guide, Zizi was a wonderful guide. She had great knowledge of the surrounding lands and cultural practices being a H'mong woman herself. She always made sure to check on us and ensure we felt comfortable and safe during the walks. If you get a tour with Zizi, you're in good hands!
