An eye opener to the diversity of Vietnam and some important historical events. Probably about 3 hours is required to get an understanding.

Built in 1990, "Ho Chi Minh Museum" is part of the "Ho Chi Minh Complex" around "Ba Dinh Square" in Hanoi's "Old Quarter". It praises the memory of Vietnam's first President and National Hero, Ho Chi Minh (*May 9, 1890 +September 2, 1969). Inside, eight chronological exhibitions cover different parts of his life and memorabilia. Before going, please check carefully its visiting hours and dress properly. Entry fees almost inexpensive. Combine your visit with other nearby attractions. Enjoy!

We have travelled to many places in different countrys. and always see at some point how they lived. Mostly around the 18th centurys and many long before that.It is a joy to cast your mind back and think what sort of life they must have had. Simple, but hard working is the most I get from these visits. Like most places we travel, it is imperitive that you have a guide.

This museum is located just a stone's throw away from the Hanoi Opera. It's not a must visit, however, if you've time and are interested in finding out more about Vietnamese history, you can visit it. There are two floors and the second floor has extensive collection on Cham history. The entry is chargeable, tickets are available at the entrance itself.

A bit it out of the normal tourist circuit, and my Grab driver was a little confused as to where it was (he went in too as he'd never been before). Comprehensive exhibit with requisite relics and dioramas. Learned a lot, but was so quiet and was only visitor there. As others have said, don't forget to visit the back part.

A brilliant and detailed history of the revolutionary people of Vietnam fighting the Chinese, French and American oppression.
An audio tour is available or you can just read and look around at your own pace.
Not a large experience but full of interesting documents, stories and information from this fascinating country...!

Interesting for kids to see US warcraft and weapons. Not real interactive, but not 'just photos'. Won't need much time, but we liked it. Part of exhibits are outdoors, some inside. Bathroom here was awful.

Of all of Hanoi's museums, this one is special. The history of Vietnam's longest-serving Minister of Education might not inspire everyone. But, this is more than just that. This is a home that has become a shrine to a family and ultimately a man whose life spanned so much of modern Vietnam history. Heck, he was friendly with Ho Chi Minh! And, the tour was provided by the granddaughter in law of the man himself. The visit started with some tea (or cool water) and then a tour of the garden. After that, we went through the four floors of photos and documents. It was actually incredibly interesting.

I'm not a prof at this field but very nice artefacts at the site, definitely worth a visit. Such a pity there is only one room.
