This is truly stunning and I would highly recommend a tour guide to get the most out of the visit. Also there is a lot to see and a ton of history behind each area so it's best not to get there too late in the day or you would need to cut your visit short when they close at 5.30.

Quite a bizarre yet harrowing experience. The information was limited so I would advise getting the audio guide to give you more insight (we were googling things on our phones). Also, very very biased side of history depicting the American prisoners of war attending a ‘holiday camp’ and saying that they did not want to leave. Altogether, still very interesting.

Very interesting visit to see the preserved body of the revered leader of Vietnam.
Strict control and run by the military. No loitering or talking photos inside the chamber.
Cannot take photos inside. But outside of the building & gardens ok

Not quite as spectacular as the Citadel in Hue but definitely worth a visit. You are given a map at the ticket office with a suggested route, which is worth following, as you could otherwise miss so much. Very interesting to see the Command Headquarters and bunkers from the war, with good original exhibit. We spent a good couple of hours wandering around as there is quite a lot to see.

This is worth seeing and visiting while on your trip. The city is different and the people are different along with the great history of the times. Great history.

For me it’s not a must do in Hanoi but good to see and do although limited in what you see, what you can do and limit with photos.

Nice French architectural building in a lovely yellow colour don’t believe it’s an official residence just for formal occasions.

You can’t enter palace just see from outside for that reason it’s not a must do.

We meandered to this small pond in the middle of a small neighborhood surrounded by housing, cafes, fish mongers, shops and more. We arrived at the small pond and the remains of this B52 from the "American War" as it is known in Vietnam is resting in place from the mid 70s.

After seeing the changing of the gaurd at ho chi minhs Palace, our guide took us to where he spent most of the time. Ho Chi Minh's Stilt House He had turned down the chance to live in the palace, over the stilt house. That tells you a thing or two about Ho Chi Minh. dont forget to see the old cars that were given to him either.

I am glad that our guide included this temple, which is located in a busy area but as others have said, it could be easily missed. Located on Hang Bac Street in central Hanoi. it is quite beautiful and sublimely decorated.

You would need someone to show you around the building. Really interesting to find out the history of Ho Chi Minh and that he was in this building. I was told it was the original furniture he would have sat in.

Out of the hustle and bustle, a must stop to enjoy some a historic site in a quiet setting. Beautiful and well maintained.
