The views were breath taking, it was that week that the flowers were blooming, and the young leaves beginning to wake up following the end of winter.

A Beautiful Church - Church of the Presidents

I have visited St John’s Episcopal Church many times, as we often stay in that neighborhood.

On this March visit, we were just across the street, at the Hay-Adams Hotel, and I was glad that I visited again.

Besides being lovely, it is very historic, and worth the look around, regardless of one’s religion. Even though I am Jewish, and my wife a Catholic, this is a great church to visit.

Besides the unique history, it is lovely, and intimate, and well-worth the half-hour to explore

Unfortunately, I had no idea that rioters would set fire to this beautiful church, not too long after I visited it.

The day we visited there was a wonderful exhibit of the Queens of Egypt. It was a wonderful exhibit and the grandchildren loved doing the scavenger hunt that was offered. The museum was beautifully layed out the exhibits were well defined and explained. I am so happy we went. I don't know how long this particular exhibit will be there but I would check to see what was there when you visit DC. It is a small uncrowded museum.

Entertainment was good, bordering on great at times. Food was average, but nothing to write home about. But the overall experience was very good - I'd go back in a heartbeat!

I came to this restaurant to eat for lunch. Waited for 50 minutes and my food never show up.
I left the restaurant. My server was nice and understand the waiting.
I recommend not to eat at this place there are so many places better. This is the worst

The WaPo wants you to buy and read their excellent paper. I agree. But they very politely remind youthat the Post is a working paper and a capitalist enterprise. They don't do tours, but you can take a selfie outside their building in honor of Katharine Graham and Ben Bradley (AKA Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks) and their couragous decision to publish the Pentagon Papers.
