I end up here every trip to DC, mainly because the conference I usually go to is nearby and Union Station is a great place to grab a quick lunch, hit the drugstore for room supplies, and just hang out in the marble halls watching thousands of people rush through. There is also a pretty good tourist gift shop on the far end of the shopping area on the top level that I often get gifts from before heading home. It is worth at least 15 minutes to wander through and think of all the history that has come through here.

The staff was efficient and kind, the boat was clean and comfortable, and the audio tour was adequate. I would have liked more information from the audio tour. The views were nice, overall, it was an average experience.

The metro is improving. For anyone over 65 they should look into a senior metro card. The card are yellow and can be bought at metro locations but not at the metro station.

The circulator buses are an excellent way to see the monuments, but you need patience because they are crowded at certain times of the day. Late afternoons are difficult for them due to the heavy traffic.

My husband and I needed transportation to downtown Washington, DC so that we could get on a bus that would take us to New York. We decided to use DC Path Transportation Services to take us to/from downtown. Making reservations online at their website was convenient and easy.

Our driver arrived early to pick us up from our Silver Spring home. He was professionally and impeccably dressed. He loaded our luggage and helped us into the luxury vehicle which was clean and spotless inside. The ride was smooth and the driver got us to our downtown destination in plenty of time to board the bus.

On our return bus trip from New York, the bus arrived in DC thirty-five minutes later than originally scheduled. Our professional and friendly driver was there waiting for us when we got off the bus. He assisted with our luggage, helped us into the clean luxury vehicle and drove us back to our home in Silver Spring.

We highly recommend DC Path Transportation Services!

This street car line is the first street car to open after the original line was closed in 1962. Although it is a very short distance (, this is a beginning of bringing street car back to the city to serve as one of the transportation system in Washington D.C. It is a nice attraction for tourist and a nice way to transport people to various spots in the H Street Corridor and to connect with existing services and neighborhoods. Currently it is free for the District residents and visitors. Come to enjoy good food and good bars in H Street area via Metro and connecting to the Streetcar D.C.

Used Amtrak to travel from Union station in Washington DC to New York. Services were fine, seats were comfortable, it was fully occupied and there was a big queue of passengers at the station for going to the train, in normal coach class they do not have seat numbers which you can reserve at the time of booking, so chances are there if you will be a family of three or four travelling together, you will end up seating separately. If you look at the Amtrak trains you may end up comparing them with those which are in Europe, yes comparatively they are the same except speed wise Amtrak is too slow while the European ones are super fast.

I just completed my second round-trip ride on the Jet Bus from New York City to Washington DC. My first trip was in Aug 2023.

The first thing I noticed on this trip was that the seat layout had been altered to include 5 more seats, 19 vs 14 last August. This may seem like the bus would feel more crowded but to the contrary, I thought that it was a much more efficient layout. The bus still felt very spacious, with more than enough leg room, ample 45-degree seatback recline, and space in front of the foot rest to store a backpack. I actually felt that with the 14-seat layout, there was too much "wasted" space in terms of legroom....it was impossible to reach for my backpack on the floor in front of me without actually having to stand up.

The Jet Bus services only 2 cities at this time, New York and Washington, DC. The boarding points in both New York City and Washington DC are extremely convenient. In NYC, it's the corner of 33rd St and 11th Ave, right at Hudson Yards. It's a clean and safe area without much pedestrian or vehicle traffic. In DC, it's the Metro Center, which is fairly quiet yet centrally located.

Each Jet Bus has a staff of 2 -- the driver and a bus attendant. Cornell was the driver for my ride down to DC and Jelena was the attendant for both legs of this trip. The Jet team makes the customers feel at home and work very professionally and efficiently. Check-in takes seconds and there is always someone ready to load larger suitcases under the bus for you. I don't think there is a strict bag limit for Jet Bus so that gives it an advantage over air travel and the stress of lugging around larger bags on trains.

Whenever I take the Jet, I feel like I'm riding a chartered plane or first-class on a commercial flight. The best part about checking in is that at most, there will be only 18 people ahead of you in the line to board the bus. Lines for taking first-class on a plane or train can be much longer, not to mention the check-in process, security lines, bag collection and other tasks involved, especially with flying.

The Jet Bus team are eager to share stories of the relatively short history of the company and are very open to taking feedback. I even got to meet Chad, the founder of the company, on my first ride last Aug as he was greeting passengers departing from DC.

The ride itself was very comfortable. The industry-first "motion-cancelling" seats make for a very smooth ride. The seats recline up to 45 degrees and there is also a leg-rest to make for more comfortable ergonomics. The free wifi was more than sufficient for watching YouTube videos the whole trip without a single incident of signal disruption. There is also a table for each seat that can be used when eating or for working on a laptop or ipad. They even offer hot towels and free water on the trips, as well as complimentary biscuits.

There is a huge bathroom and galley at the back of the bus. The bathroom is kept immaculately clean and the galley offers drinks and snacks for a fee.

I travel between NYC and DC quite often and Jet Bus is always my first option. The main reason I haven't taken it more often is that the departure times aren't very convenient for my schedule. There are 2 daily departures from NYC and DC and no service on Tuesdays. I was told that this will be changing in the near future.

As for pricing, there is a base fare of $99 and many extra fees that can add up depending on when you book, the seat you choose and seasonality when seats are taken up quickly. Despite the actual fare coming out to about $120-$130 each way for the trips I took, I think it's a great value. Riding the Jet Bus is an experience and you really feel like you're living the luxurious life when taking the bus.

My only "complaint" with the Jet Bus is that there is currently only a couple of departures each day and thus scheduling can get tricky. Other than that, I personally feel that taking the Jet Bus over flying or Amtrak is a no-brainer. You get absolutely no stress leading up to your trip as you can select your seat ahead of time and you're guaranteed never to have a crowd of other travelers getting on the same bus as you.

Sweet 45 minute ride from the Wharf to Georgetown. At $24 I consider it pricey but I had a good time. Saw a lot of monuments.

Adam, the man who took our reservation, was very communicative and made the process easy. The driver was on time, super happy and friendly and the teens had a blast! We
hired them for my daughter’s Sweet 16 and they let them blast music while they drove them around DC looking at sites. They let me make the itinerary too. My favorite thing was the actual stretch limo. So many companies only offer buses these days and they just don’t compare to an actual stretch limo. I highly recommend this company! Thanks a lot guys!
