There is a great Park Station with very clean bathrooms, helpful guides and everything is free!

My friend and I drove down from Brooklyn Park (in Minneapolis) to Wabasha, Minnesota on a lovely fall day to visit the National Eagle Center, and we were very impressed by the educational programs and the exhibits.
The eagle center is a great stop while enjoying the nature in MN.
Lake of the Isles Minneapolis
We visited on a nice crisp winter weekend, We took advantage of the outdoor skating but there were plenty of people walking the lake, cross country skiing and having a romp with their dogs at the dog park.
The walk around the lake is is about 2.5 miles and you get to take in a great view of nature and some amazing houses.
