An amazing display of, not just the battleship that you can walk about on, but other plane, vehicles, and ships.

The motorcycles were exquisite, the people were friendly there and everything was spot less. I don’t know how everything was so clean all like new. The location was fantastic being able to watch cars on the race track while wondering the museum was a plus. Definitely a bucket list item if your into motorcycles. Myself and 6 friends rode our motorcycles up from Florida what a ride!

We stayed at The Lodge and took the bikes into the park. There are lots of trails to explore and they are all pretty flat. We biked to the Woodside Restaurant, which was great. We love to see the birds and nature that has been preserved because of the park.
The beach is about 2 miles of nature with only the Lodge and pier. We loved watching the birds on the beach. The pavilion is a great place to access the beach, if you are not at the lodge.

I toured the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute after taking a three-hour history tour of the city. I would definitely recommend doing it this way. The Institute carefully documents information about African American history and Civil Rights history that are not adequately covered in our schools. I can't imagine going to Birmingham and not visiting this museum.

We enjoyed the museum, which has a LOT of interesting information about early Birmingham, including tidbits on coca cola rivals in the early days of the soft drink. We were able to get to the top of the tower even though the elevator was not working. It is 159 steps to the top with many landings to stop and rest. Once you get to the top there is a grating that surrounds the tower,so (unless you are uncomfortable with heights) you con see for360°.

The family had a great time. Lots of fun and educational exhibits. My most memorable activity was playing a "guess who" game in the space center. The kids loved the Aquarium and IMAX theater was amazing

A white man born and raised in the South, I grew up in integrated Arkansas. While much has changed, there is factual history that has never been fully addressed. The museum presents facts about the origins of slavery, use of fear to perpetuate it, including lynching and burning people, and Jim Crow laws. The facts continue to establish how this was continued via the unfair incarceration of Black people and how this has never been addressed. This was my second visit. The first was to the very small original location, but the new space is 7 times larger and much improved. The ticket includes a short shuttle ride to the memorial. The experience is extremely educational and emotionally powerful. Plan on at least three hours. Restaurant and museum shop very nice

My girls and I came here to check it out. There is so much to see and do. We loved the selfie museum, riding the Ferris wheel, eating at Dicks, and checking out all the shops. The fire works at night we’re beautiful and well displayed. It is well worth the visit.

The weather was perfect for the garden today. We enjoyed walking paths, butterflies, birds, flowers, water fountains, over water bridges, and lots of places are under the shade. Highly recommended!

Wow, what a treat. This museum is a massive collection of military memorabilia including many jeeps, tanks, helicopters, etc. most of which are in working condition. The veteran volunteer docents were a wealth of knowledge and greatly added to the experience. Do not expect a slick Smithsonian type of museum. This museum is jam packed and bursting at the seems and allows you to get close to everything. Don't miss it if you are traveling to Huntsville.

and it just makes you say "why?" It also personalizes the hundreds of lynchings that took place by a seriously misguided populace.
Walk through quietly and respectfully and try to keep your emotions in check.

Very small museum that covers seminal event in history of Civil Rights movement. Amazing how the bus boycott was so quickly organized at a time of no technology. Worth a visit.

Fantastic trip for our holiday group. Our tour guide was fantastic, went into lots of detail with the children and made us all comfortable. The animal handling session was great, and the grounds as always were superb-beautiful, clean, tranquil-just perfect!
