We visited Rottnest Island for the first time recently - took the SeaLink ferry over, grabbed some food supplies and headed straight to Pedal and Flipper to hire bikes. Unfortunately all the E-bikes had gone and so we had to hire normal bikes. It was a bit of a free for all - once you have paid at the counter, you basically just help yourself to a bike from the available piles (small, medium, large etc). The staff weren't around to help in this bit, so we just had to sort ourselves out by picking bikes and trying them. Wish someone had advised getting a padded seat as mine had no padding at all!

I had read somewhere on the internet about a bike and bus option - bike as far as you can and then pick up the island bus when you've had enough, but this didn't seem to be available. We biked the full route around the island (22km) and it was a long way on a pedal bike. Suspect we might have jumped on the bus if it had been available!

When we returned the bikes, staff quickly took the bikes off us but then challenged us over a missing bike lock (however we no longer had the bike, so couldn't see if the lock was in the basket or on the bike). They were going to charge us for the lock but we stood our ground. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, they are dealing with a huge number of bike rentals at any one time so it's a big operation.

The bikes all worked fine - just lacked seat padding!

Friendly, helpful eBike hire in Fremantle, open wide range of hours most days. We cycled South speedily on the eBikes as far as Woodman point and back easily in four hours, with many stops for sightseeing.

eBikes great on warmer days and to get home rising into the Doctor (sea breeze in the afternoons)

Wow! What a fantastic experience. The great Seatoys Team had me zooming through the water in just minutes. I was able to see the reef effortlessly and saw a massive variety of fish and coral and I even saw a giant green sea turtle graciously swimming through the water. I would certainly recommend to everyone travelling to the Ningaloo.

After my 5h of lesson, I was able to go by myself and even upwind! I had 3 different teachers, all amazing, fun, clear in their explanation, careful about the safety and very cheerful! At my last lesson, we had a problem with the kite 15min before the end of the lesson and the wind was very light anyway, so they gave me an extra half-hour an other day, for free, which made all the difference (allowed me to get more comfortable on the kite and improved my skills)! Thanks soul kite!

We went to Perth Electric Bike Tours shop to hire some bikes and we were told that a tour was about to start that morning, we joined the tour, the price of the tour already includes the bikes, so we thought that was a great deal. Phil, the tour guide was knowledgeable and passioned about Fremantle and all of its History and tales. The tour was around 20 km long but it was a breeze with the electric bikes. we defenetely reccomend this activity if you around Perth.
