- YapwlSingapore, Singapore91 contributionsI gave this 4 stars because of the quokkas we met on our way up to the lighthouse. Even though the lighthouse is the highest point of the island, view of the coast is not that great. There’s a small exhibit in a rock house next to the lighthouse. My friends joined a tour up the lighthouse. At the moment there’s no charge because some part is closed for maintenance.Written March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TWal1Canberra, Australia2,942 contributionsThe lighthouse is an easy walk from the village and wharf area, and is worth a look. The coastal scenery is pretty and the views are good. Plenty of opportunities to see Quokkas too.Written April 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ChizzelPerth, Australia2,498 contributionsThis has been a longtime fishing venue. Over the years I have fished both the North and South Moles and have have strong recollections of gazing upon the hypnotic North Mole light being emitted from this iconic landmark during a quiet night fishing expedition. Nowadays I'm unaware if the lighthouse even works but it does provide an ever present reminder of years gone by.
I visited recently and the whole area has been transformed but the lighthouse still remains to bring back fond memories.
This is great for a drive to just watch anglers all try for a small catch of fish to take home. Pleasant area to watch people enjoy themselves or just watch boats cruise by.Written June 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some solid remains of WW11 gun emplacements/defences also remain on site.Written April 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
