Lovely panoramic city views from atop the hill and with narrow cobbled streets it is very nice stroll. Alexander Nevsky cathedral is the main site up here. A must see when in Tallinn.

This is a gorgeous ancient wall, surrounding the old city of Tallinn.
It features numerous towers, which provide fantastic photo-ops.

An excellent experience as always, an amazing set of very diverse exhibitions, I particularly loved "melanie bonajo: When the body says Yes+", spent an hour there,
the generally pleasant atmosphere, the absolute favourite bookshop and cafe.

We visited the square on many occasions during our visit to Tallinn.

The town hall is a focal point standing prominently in the square and really adds to the character of the place.

It’s easier to walk up there. You can have an aerial view of part of old town. You can see lot of red roofs and churches. Good photo point. We saw two very big seagulls there, kept walking from left to right of the wall. It seemed they were managing that area. 😂

The ruins were an interesting sight especially the big facade is very impressive. There are info point here and there which give out nice information, how ever it would be nice to understand the structures more in detail and how the life in the convent would have been like. The ticket machine was broken (it couldn't print out paper) so we got in when someone else got out. It would be nice that the entrance would be more accessible and not dependent on the wits of the tourist. Pirita beach and Metsakalmistu are nearby sights that can be reached by car or bike.

Interesting little museum. Well worth the time to tour. e sure and catch the short video in the basement. The entire museum is only anout4-5 rooms, but you get some great insights about an important figure in history.

Nice museum and interesting exhibition. It's a very small museum and even when having a bigger interest in the art of photography it's a max 20 minutes look around. So you can consider it as a pro or con.

This place cost 5 euros to go in. It appears really old. It looks to be part of a larger facility and this is what remains. It’s interesting to see things so old that are still standing. They have staged a lot of artwork inside, I’m not sure why.

This building is the former headquarters of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads. Back in history they were ship owners and merchants during the Middle Ages. They were also in Latvia. They fled to Germany when the Soviets occupied the Baltic states in 1940. Today the house comprises of halls and other rooms used for events like concerts, conferences and receptions. There are some amazing stone crests around the door. The door itself has beautiful carving.

There were two different price 10€ for the four towers only and 14€ for a combination ticket - Four towers plus Bastion tunnels. We only pay for the towers and walkthrough the wall although it was pricey, it's worth the price.

Not too many stairs, so it won’t be challenging for you to enjoy nice views of the city. The ticket is only 3 Euros which is certainly worth it.
