This place is perfect for nature and architecture lovers, families, couple dates and much much more :) great views (many lakes around the castle) and the castle itself is on an island.
The Castle is on a lake island across, and the BEST thing about it is the view, and the BEST view is from a square by the lake shore where the restaurants are.

Cathedral (Arkikatedra Bazilika) Vilnius
Built originally on a pagan site, the hour tour through the crypt with a guide, who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, taught me a lot about Lithuanian history as well as the history of the cathedral itself.
The cathedral and nearby bell tower are imposing structures, the bell tower gives a fabulous view of the city but the cathedral buildings themselves are rather plain - at least inside.

You need a good head for heights and a keen eye to climb the wooden open plan stairwells inside the tower but a trip to the top gives a great view of the city and an interesting view of the construction.
The Bell Tower is located next to the Cathedral, the views are really good and the insight of the Tower is very interesting to read it's history and Reconstruction.
