The Krakow Ghetto Pharmacy was run by Tadeusz Pankiewicz, who moved to the ghetto to help the jews relocated there by the Nazis, helping to save many lives and being honoured with the righteous among the nations title in 1983. The ghetto is maintained in its 1940s style. You get a flavour of the conditions from the visit - I'm looking forward to reading the book

Lovely crossing with nice views down the river both sides. The sculptures hanging from the suspension arms give the bridge great character; but the stand-out feature has to be the locks.

I found Kraków to be a relaxed city full of kind people and affectionate couples. These locks provide a very literal realisation of this in a way that's bound to bring a smile to your face.

I chanced upon this church when the tram I was sitting in went past it. I had to jump off the tram and have a look!

The Gothic architecture is breath-taking ...

... and surprisingly modern, the church was built in the early 1900s.

Please everyone be careful, the address on TripAdvisor is incorrect. I just wasted 20-30 mins. Pick the address from their own website or google map.

The park offers bushes, trees and greenery galore just outside the centre of the city. Great place for a stroll on a summer's day.

Walking along Ulica Piwna in the eclectic Podgorze district I passed this great mural titled Ding Dong Dumb ,viewed it before on previous holidays to Krakow and it still impresses me.
Although slightly faded ,to be honest it needs a touch up but it's still very cool and fits in with the quirky character of this very historic neighbourhood, ,its a giant bell being tolled ,its very photogenic, its most definitely well worth a few minutes of your time if you're in the area and easy to locate along Ulica Piwna.

Beautiful hidden place in Krakow. I always enjoy to find places like this. Unfortunately stairs were very dirty (26-10-2019) because of repairs of building next to it. Hopefully autumn rain will wash it. :)

A colourful set of steps up to Planty Park. Fun and kids liked the colours of the steps. A steep step up to a beautiful park on a sunny afternoon in Krakow. Worth a visit.

We booked a two hour session to make a mug on the pottery wheel. The owner of the shop helps you along the way with each step, and clearly instructs you how to use the pottery wheel, how to create a bottom for your mug and handle, how to decorate your mug, and how to smooth rough edges to fully prep it for the kiln.

The shop provides you: an apron, clay tools for cutting and sculpting, and tools to decorate your creation (ex. embossed rolling pins, cookie cutters, ceramic glazes to colour your creation, etc.).

+ shop owner speaks English and Polish
+ shop owner is very patient, cheerful, and encouraging
+ freedom to create any ceramic object with the pottery wheel, by hand, or with a mould (three ways of creating a ceramic creation available)
+ very dynamic environment with customers walking in to check the store
+ shop also sells lots of fun ceramics: mugs, cups, vases, trays, bowls, jewelry (rings, earrings, bracelets)

    For tourists:
! you can only book for two people (not ideal for larger groups)
! you have to wait for 2 to 3 weeks to pick up your ceramic creations (shipping available in Poland)

Walked for ages to find this beautiful little church, we didn't try the door as there was a lady watching us like my 16 year old and I were about to do something, which we weren't, but worth the find, beautiful views from the back of Krakow

A beautiful building to view is this wonderful looking building that was constructed in 1910 from designs from architect Antoni Dostal ,a great looking building with a very eye catching facade but this building as beautiful as it is has a dark and macabre past as this building was were under the jurisdiction of the occupying German Army forces was were the Jewish Social Self Help Organisation met to make the dreadful decisions on who would be transferred to the death camps as the ghetto shrank in on itself, it still serves as a bank building, its a building most definitely well worth a few minutes of your time if you're in the Podgorze district of Krakow and easy to locate along Ulica Jozefinska.

There are quite a few bridges crossing over the mighty River Vistula ,Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Bridge is impressive ,Father Benateks Footbridge is beautiful but Powstancow Slaskich Bridge ( Most Powcastancow Slaskich ) is a rather bland bridge ,I think it's a rail bridge ,single span ,flat ,easy to miss actually ,you can view it from Father Bernateks Footbridge ,worth a minute of your time .
