We loved looking at the locks and the sculptures on the bridge. It's a must see in our option, before the remove the locks like we have been told will happen in the near future. One of our favourite parts of Krakow and the reassurance close by are wonderful!

Very attractive bridge over the Vistula River in Krakow. Made with a distinctive steel girder hump in the middle that reminds people of a turtle. One of the older bridges in Krakow, it was originally built in 1933, destroyed by the Nazis at the end of WWII, and rebuilt shortly after the war.

We walked along the river and the weather was excellent. If one gets a chance to cycle around this place then it is even better. There are bridges at regular distances and one can get public transport easily. So walk and breathe fresh air, soak in the beauty

There are several river crossings in Krakow over the Vistula River ,one of the busiest is Grunwald Bridge.
This is a modern bridge ,it looks cool ,I suppose compared to the older bridges in Krakow it's rather plain but I like it ,the views of the river and
Wawel Castle and Cathedral are superb,it's a bridge well worth checking out if you're planning on visiting Krakow.

Walking down a set of stairs just off Father Bernateks Footbridge down to Barka ,a great boat bar I noticed this plaque that was a reminder of a previous bridge that once stood on this spot , the bridge was called Podgorski Bridge and was constructed between 1844-1850 and dismantled in 1936 ,the bridge was the first bridge in Krakow to be built over the River Vistula with brick pillars,I love finding fascinating facts such as this ,it's easy to locate along Podgorska and well worth checking out if you enjoy finding out about the history of this beautiful city.

There are several great looking bridges that span the River Vistula ,one of the most impressive is Most Kolejowy ( a Train Bridge ) .
This is a very impressive train bridge I viewed it from Father Bernateks Footbridge ,a long ,single span bridge that certainly catches the eye ,on my next trip to Krakow I am most definitely going to check this bridge out a bit closer as it looks a great piece of engineering ,most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

There are quite a few bridges crossing over the mighty River Vistula ,Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Bridge is impressive ,Father Benateks Footbridge is beautiful but Powstancow Slaskich Bridge ( Most Powcastancow Slaskich ) is a rather bland bridge ,I think it's a rail bridge ,single span ,flat ,easy to miss actually ,you can view it from Father Bernateks Footbridge ,worth a minute of your time .
