We found this in Maly Rynek which is located between St Mary’s Basilica and the Church of St Barbara and is a 16th century fountain.
Good photo op with the Cathedral or the church in the background.

Very interesting. Wouldn’t have known what it was if I haven’t known about it. Loved by the pigeons and in a lovely park around the old town.

This fountain unveiled in 1958 is located in Mariacki Square next to St. Mary's Church.

It was designed by Jan Budzillo, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts. The figure of Zak is a copy of one of the figures found inside St. Mary's Church.

According to the legend, throwing a coin into the fountain guarantees a return to Krakow in the future. However, on our visit, the fountain was dry.

One of the prettiest square's in Krakow is Szczepanski Square ,a square I always love to visit ,great pubs, bars and restaurants and superb architecture on all sides of the square ,there's also a beautiful water feature known as Szczepanski Fountain .
This fountain is really lovely ,big jets of water ,illuminated at night and very popular ,we visited the square on a roasting hot Thursday afternoon ,fountain was in working order ,around the fountain were young families sat on benches with their kids playing in the fountain ,it looked so cooling and it was great seeing the fountain being enjoyed,if you're in the area it's a fountain well worth checking out and easy to locate on Sczcepanski Square .

In my opinion Rynek Główny is one of the most beautiful squares in the world, the architecture around this square is stunning ,more or less central in the square is The Square Fountain.
It's a pretty little water feature ,illuminated at night ,when we were in Krakow for five night we passed this fountain several times ,it's cool and very cooling ,as temperatures hit the 90's couldn't resist soaking my cap in here to cool down a bit ,it's located in front of the magnificent Cloth Hall and is well worth checking out if you're on Main Market Square.

Located just off Uluca Grodzka is a little square called Plac Swietej Marii Magdaleny ,a pretty little square that comprises of some great looking buildings that form the square ,in the centre of the square is a column and statue in honour of Peter Skarga and in the corner of the square is this fountain called Plac Swietej Marii Magdaleny Fontanna.
This is not your conventional fountain ,it's small ,the water rises over a polished stone which creates a swirling water feature ,it's cool ,it's photogenic and if you're near Plac Swietej Marii Magdaleny is well worth checking out.

One of the prettiest square's in Krakow is Maly Rynek ( Little Market Square ) a beautiful square surrounded on all sides by exquisite looking buildings ,on this square you will find Maly Rynek Fountain .
This is a cute looking fountain ,it's a modern water feature ,not a conventional fountain,it's a long stretch of marble topped by a perspex section ,it looks cool ,it's certainly eye catching and when we viewed it there were flocks of pidgeon splashing around the fountain ,can't blame them as it was a roasting hot afternoon, well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate on Maly Rynek.

There are quite a few monuments in Krakow ,one that certainly caught my eye was Basztowa Monument.
Not much information available about the monument ,what made it stand out though was the fact it's an obelisk ,it's set in pretty and well kept grounds and is most photogenic ,it's easy to locate along Basztowa and is well worth checking out if you're in the area.
