The old town square not just the size of it it's the Polish Architecture of the building dating back generations is stunning. What makes me proud to watch is all primary school and Secondary school classes get taken to krakow square to educate them on there polish history and culture in the square every single day it's fantastic values . I'm from Scotland uk and sorry to say the UK values and cultures are long gone now. We could learn a lot from Polish values and customs

The most visually interesting museum I've ever visited, in terms of how the exhibition is exhibited; there are gravel or stone floors in many rooms which make you feel like you're standing on the streets of 1940s Krakow.
We went there on a monday morning when entrance is free and stood in line for about 1 hour. Then realized that if we would have come there by noon, there would not have been a line at all.

The castle itself is stunning and well worth a visit just to walk round and view.

Tou have to pay to get inside, with costs broken down for all the various places. If you want to see it all it was around £50 each (with exch rate at the tim), which I found a bit pricey.

We paid to go into Castle I and to be honest it was OK, not sure it was worth the money (personally), although if you like religious art then it will appeal as there are many portraits of Mary and Child.

The views over the river are great and even just walking round the grounds is well worth the visit.

Can't go to Krkow and not visit this.

The Old Town of Krakow is sensational.

Start at the northern point with the Barbican and St Florian's Gate, wander down Ulica Florianska, arrive at the Old Market Square (with incredible buildings such as the Cloth Hall, St. Mary's Basilica and the Town Hall Tower), then continue south along Ulica Grodzka (with the Church of St Peter and St Paul, the Church of St Martin, the Church of St Andrew and the Church of St Giles and much much more) and finish off at Wawel Castle & Cathedral.

I'm not a religious man and in Krakow they do like a church/chapel.

St Mary's is stunning no matter what your beliefs and well worth a visit.

Situated in the main square it's easily accessible and free to enter.

    Go on, get yourself involved.

Interesting history and a great place to buy judaica. Keep in mind that during Shabbat, Friday evening to Saturday evening, not everything will be open.

Central point of the main square, but populated by a mix of stalls selling local speciality artefacts, e.g. costumes and amber, to a range of tourist tat. There may be restrictions due to the square being surrounded by bars and restaurants, but some genuine local fast food stalls might be a beneficial addition

Wawel Cathedral is iconic to Krakow. It's a hike up there, but if I can do it, you can too. We didn't tour the Castle, just the Cathedral. The view is great. There is a Commemorative Coin as with most European Cathedrals.

Basilica of St Francis is a notable church at Krakow's old town. It is an encompassing building with impressive stained glass. Unfortunately part of the ceiling is under renovation.

It is a super@relaxing park in the heart of Krakow. Especially on sunny days you can take this path to the old town. You@can even sit and enjoy the atmosphere for a while.

This is a historic church in downtown Krakow. Church of SS Peter & Paul is a Jesuits institution with distinct facade and elegant interior. It is quite a gem in the Polish city.

This short street connects the Florian Gate, Krakow's former northern entrance with its renowned main square. The thoroughfare is now a lively place with lots of tourists exploring the Polish city. And of course, the shops mainly cater to foreigners.

The "Barbican" dates back to the 1400s and was once part of the medieval walls and fortifications of the city.

Today it is still an impressive building.

There is a small museum inside.

Poorly marked and not easy to find, confusing multiple routes into area. Very large area takes more than an hour, gravel walking paths only, quite exposed with no shelter or facilities... avoid on hot summer or rainy day. 20mts walk along cliffs to ancient Krakus burial mound with vistas of Krakow.

Nazi concentration camp where everything is left in nature and to your imagination with limited information boards than Auschwitz which is explicitly visual with lots of detail. They may seem very different experiences for visitors but in the end create same shocking emotions. Here outwardly peaceful fields woods apple groves in reality tell a chilling history of human cruelty and profound sorrow in the air and under your feet.
