What travelers are saying
- Adam K3 contributionsA friend and I were served by Lewis, it was a standard wine tasting. His knowledge of the wines was exemplary, he was quite engaging and we shared a few personal stories together. Due to a great experience and the quality of the wine, I became a member of the wine club that day. Thanks for a wonderful and engaging afternoonWritten 18 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Great wine tasting at Peterson House, $10 gives you 5 bubblies to try, and they are flexible enough to add a couple I was interested in, so thank you. Great service and setting, with a beautiful chapel on the grounds.

Elaine and her staff are friendly and accommodating although somewhat stretched with COVID impacting on staff rosters. The menu is good value and the portions are generous. The food is consistently good and the current releases of the house wines are available via glass or bottle.
This was our third visit and we will be back.Written 8 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - SydneyAsiaTravellerSydney, Australia49 contributionsThe Hunter Valley Gardens was fantastic during the Easter break with awesome dinosaur display and Easter fun fair on site. They had an Easter Egg Hunt held on Easter Sunday great for the children.
All the gardens were immaculately displayed and you can see the attention to detail everywhere in the garden.
This is a gem place to visit for the whole family.Written 23 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - sje72_10Sydney, Australia54 contributionsWe went here as it was a short walk from where we were staying and was listed as dog friendly. The wine was great and different to many of the others varieties in the Hunter and we are heading back today with the car to purchase. It was certainly dog friendly with water available for our pooch. What was also great, is that rather than having the crowds all squashed into a cellar door room on a busy Easter weekend, they made the most of the great weather and had tasting stations set up around the winery. It was a great experience with great hospitality. Highly recommend.Written 16 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Darrin O1 contributionHarkham Wines was by far the highlight of our Hunter trip, staff are amazing, super knowledgeable but not pushy with what we ‘should’ be tasting. Love the natural wine philosophy and these are the best we have tried, ever. Certainly will be back.Written 16 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

A super friendly, knowledgeable guy helped us.
And even gave us a quick tour of the winery.
If you’re looking for a friendly place to visit, without the pretentiousness, then this is your place.Written 17 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Elf on TourPerth, Australia51 contributionsWow - great wines, fabulous ambiance and winemaker discussion with Paddy - and a beautiful estate with views.

How to taste wine, not just drink. Had so much fun and the wines were lovely. Great experienceWritten 16 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Kay C7 contributionsThis was the absolute highlight of our day. Nick was an excellent tasting guide; his enthusiasm for their products was infectious. We tasted lots of yummy drinks but if I had to pick one favourite, it would be their butterscotch schnapps!!!Written 14 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- NinaSydney, Australia1 contributionOur host was extremely informative. Asked many questions, she helped us understand a lot about the wine making process and everything to do with wine. Would highly recommend, even if you’re not a wine aficionado (I’m not). It’s indoors, which was lucky for us because it was raining. Be sure to try the Chardonnay and Moondance. Went as part of a wine tasting tour.Written 20 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Stuart DCorowa, Australia246 contributionsThis is a lovely and relaxed wine tasting experience with very friendly informative passionate staff . The tasting style reminds of McLaren Vale SA with its unpretentious style and excellent wines . The view from the cellar door is stunning and it is well worth a visit .Written 6 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
