- SydneyAsiaTravellerSydney, Australia49 contributionsThe Hunter Valley Gardens was fantastic during the Easter break with awesome dinosaur display and Easter fun fair on site. They had an Easter Egg Hunt held on Easter Sunday great for the children.
All the gardens were immaculately displayed and you can see the attention to detail everywhere in the garden.
This is a gem place to visit for the whole family.Written 23 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Mark FIngleburn, Australia213 contributionsArrived early on a Monday and it was very quiet. This is a wonderful small zoo, though there was plenty to see. The animals looked healthy and well cared for and the kids loved feeding the birds and kangaroos. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.Written 19 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lisa G5 contributionsThis is a must do, the lovely lady who let us taste the wines was really friendly and accomodating... Nothing was a hassle for her... There were 10 of us in our group... She was really welcoming and really knew her wines!!Written 7 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kylie MRussell Lea, Australia85 contributionsFantastic cellar door experience! Amazing service, so warm and friendly. The muscat is the best muscat I’ve ever tasted. Be sure to include this cellar door when visiting the hunter.Written 30 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- eat-go-lucky14 contributionsWe went to The Pines Picnic area in Olney State forest in our good old Honda accord. The road is good enough for two wheel drive car when it is dry. But drive carefully since there can be trucks coming down the hill carrying timbers, and the road is not that wide. The picnic area is clean and easy to use. It is a pine forest, very european style, a refreshing experience for us. There are some nice trails around the picnic area, but download the map before got there, my phone lost signal in the forest. The Pines is a gem with very little people visiting, would be a great place for family and friends to spend a day and enjoy the beautiful nature with minimum interuption from others.Written 2 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Drew DHunter Valley, Australia24 contributionsEasy to access, decent main roads throughout the park. Good picnic spots and walking trails. Watch for the local red bellies and browns which are everywhere in the summer period.Written 14 February 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Terry T5 contributionsMy husband and I visited Cedar Creek Falls yesterday and weren’t expecting much as we had been told by a local travel agent not to bother as there hadn’t been enough rain. We decided to take a look anyway and found it to be a great experience. The water hole is beautiful in a dark mysterious way, so tranquil and surrounded by impressive rock walls that you can trek up and perch yourself on at the top or midway of the rockface. We also explored the river beds which were partially dry but still had lots of interesting pools of water and lovely trickling water sounds. I absolutely loved this place and would go back again. Some were swimming but it was a bit cold for me. A couple of brave/stupid guys jumped off the top into the pool below.Written 1 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mish15Wellington, New Zealand86 contributionsAmelies is like a Tuscan retreat – scented citrus at the front door, herbs in the garden and a beautiful plastered wall cottage with exposed rafters and wooden floor. The wrought iron Juliet balcony has a drop away view across the valley. It’s only the kangaroos and gum trees that make it Australia! The view would be spectacular – We were there in torrential rain so had a different experience… Kangaroos shaking raindrops off like dogs! Mist rising and vivid greens as the under storey enjoyed a much needed wash. It is a while from shops and restaurants up a gravel road – however we found the small kitchen more than sufficient to self cater in the inclement weather. We loved being here and would have loved to stay longer – if you need some serious rest and relaxation this is your place.Written 11 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DominikJ78Sydney, Australia464 contributionsGood speedway track, some preparation problems here and there. The spectator area like typically in Australia - you need to bring your own chair. Parking is a major problem - prepare for washing the car once you have been there.Written 19 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- When-on-me-travelsStoke-on-Trent, UK1,371 contributionsI don't think the wine tasting experience was as interesting as some of the other places, but I loved their sparkling red, which was my favourite of my whole trip. The art gallery was nice for a few mins to look around also.Written 30 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
