The Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs

Only draw back is that because of the kangaroo's nature its a finite period of time (between dusk and darkness) to really experience the sanctuary.
We were picked up from our caravan park by bus and taken to the Sanctuary where we were met by Brolga, the most lovely, gentle caring man.

The tour itself took us through the stunning National Park to Uluru for the sunrise (beautiful colours and a fantastic experience) then onto Kata Tjuta for a short walk through the Walpa Gorge.
The drive through the National Park takes you through some beautiful semi-desert country where acacia trees grow dotted amongst cream and white coloured grasslands.

... but the views of the rim walk were amazing and truly breath-taking, I truly dislike using the term breath-taking when describing nature but the view stunned us into silence, we had to remind ourselves to breathe.
The views are stunning, the flora is beautiful, there are lots of lizards and the sense of achievement you get when you reach the car park is priceless!
