Absolutely amazing experience. Great crew and service. Lunch was very good and we got everything we needed. Island time was the perfect length to go for a walk and a swim. We loved the small group size, would absolutely recommend.

Fantastic day on the water exploring the stunning Bay of Islands! Our family had a great time aboard a lovely boat, and we were thrilled to encounter wild dolphins swimming alongside Phantom. Rick and Robin were great hosts and seasoned sailors, providing a warm welcome, delicious homemade lunch with local ingredients, and ensuring everyone had a wonderful time. Can't wait to sail with them again on our next visit to the BoI. Highly recommended this experience!

A " must do activity" for any visitor to the Bay of Islands. Captain Terry and his crew were professional but also friendly and relaxed, encouraging and supporting those on board to participate by choice or simply relax and enjoy the experience.

Sailing on this ship was a highlight of our New Zealand vacation. Built in the mid-19th century style, with canvas sails and rope rigging, being aboard is about as close as you can get to what it must have been like to be a sea merchant at that time in history.

Everyone who wished to do so had an opportunity to help trim the sail, climb the mast (while securely tied in) or climb out to the bow over knotted ropes. The ship stopped at a small island with breathtaking views, where we learned all about Captain Cook. Lunch was grilled on board and was delicious.

    What an adventure! Definitely recommended!

Our guide Tina (Tiana?) to Point Reigna and 90 mile Beach was excellent. She is such a hard worker, driving the bus, providing commentary, serving lunch, and keeping track of everyone. Our guide in Russell was excellent also. They both made the tour a lot of fun.
We loved Urupukapuka Island on the Hole in the Rock cruise- we could have spent an entire day there. The tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds was beautiful and educational. Since our hotel was so close to the bus station, the taxi was unnecessary - in fact, upon return, we did not see the cab and walked back. To the driver’s credit, she followed up and attempted to locate us. In the future, maybe make taxi pickups optional.
The motel choice was excellent - next to the water and outstanding room design and layout plus it was immaculately clean.

We rented the boat to ourselves for the day. Nat was great at communicating and while the weather was not perfect we had a great time. We sailed out to an island (1.5 hrs) and then did a full hike around the island (1.5 hrs) had a delish lunch on the boat with our wine and then sailed back. Nat was great to talk to and learn more about the area. On our way back we got to see some dolphins!

If you would like a perfect day in the Bay of Islands you should charter with this company. Rick and Robin were fantastic hosts. So friendly and accommodating to your wishes. The boat is beautiful, the scenery unmatched and the hosts top notch
Lunch was very tasty. I have run out of superlatives to describe the experience.
In other words I would highly recommend them.

Fabulous trip with Tammy (skipper of 20+ years experience) and Scott (snorkelling lead) - they are the owners and their personal touch made a real difference. Powerful boat took us to two excellent spots and we were provided with high quality wetsuits, fins, masks and snorkels. Scott explained where we were and what we might expect to see. We saw many different fish close up and it was a great experience and a fabulous way to see the Bay of Islands from the water.
