What travelers are saying
- Maryann BBasel, Switzerland302 contributionsWe were not expecting such a wonderful art gallery outside of the big Australian cities. We were lucky enough to time our visit with the free guided tour which was very enjoyable and informative. We learnt a lot about both the art works and the history of the local area. The staff were all extremely helpful. One can easily spend 2+ hours here if exploring all the exhibits. And it's all for free!Written February 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- jeff p9 contributionsIt was busy, but for size of city is small. Missing many of the multi national shops and food outlets you would expect to see. No department store, no McDonald's or KFC. Needs a major upgrade. Is best Ballarat has to offer for now, but probably best to head to geelong or Werribee If you want a decent shopping centre

It was even better that the artist Deirdre was there and was giving lessons - I painted a picture which Jane is going to stretch for me. A great place to see Indigenous art and to have fun,Written January 22, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SkyloranCoupeville, WA82 contributionsI enjoyed talking a fast look around the market. Lots of tools for sale along with boots and several other items. There was even some weight lifting competition going on while there. It was a collection of a lot of things people wanted to get rid of. One could cover the market in about an hour. We found parking on nearby streets. Lots of coffee places at the Market and even hot jam donuts.Written April 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While I appreciated the vast selection of categories available, it was a shame how disorganised it felt. A lot of items were pricey, though some were vintage or collectibles, which I can understand.Written February 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - catkid3Victoria, Australia148 contributionsWe explored this mall and were disappointed at the lack of variety and number of empty stores. I'm assuming Covid has made it tough for traders here and it was sad to see it hasn't bounced back. A few major stores are here (ie Reject Shop, Collins Bookshop, Best n Less), as well as some $2 stores and clothing outlets.Written January 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BLKHILLBallarat, Australia5 contributionsThe store is really cute! Offers beautiful products and old-fashioned toys for kid's gifts. Some of them were a step back to my own childhood and family heirlooms. The lady serving is super nice. Although some of the pricing is quite high, the product range is great.Written December 13, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
