- LinaMonaco1 contributionThis beach is very different from the beaches I have been to before, where I can feel a sense of comfortable experience, clean environment and white sand, which makes me very memorable. I tried surfing here, and the water temperature was comfortable. The beach was very wide and never felt crowded. We came to this beach with our family, we sunbathed and chatted here, a very relaxing feeling. I will come back here to relax next time!Written 31 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- tashus_11Auckland, New Zealand16 contributionsThe shopping experience was great but the Pacific Fair free shuttle was terrific. For a tourist it was so convenient and the driver, Andrew, was knowledgeable and so obliging. The visitor centre was an added bonus with friendly staff and water availableWritten 5 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mik3 contributionsExciting climb with breathtaking views. Our guide was terrific and the weather happened to be pretty perfect as well. We went with the extra $ to have some food at the observation deck afterwards. Very nice and actually quite reasonable with amazing views. - Simply4LouMelbourne, Australia10 contributionsWe underestimated how much we would enjoy this experience! Great layout, fabulous staff and thoroughly enjoyable visit. Thank you so much to Bella who made us so welcome. We loved meeting the stink bug the koala, the bird was terrific and were impressed by the knowledgeable volunteers with the kangaroos. We’ll be back!Written 29 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CoeliactravellerMelbourne, Australia103 contributionsThis was a really good day out for a family with young kids. We took five kids under the age of five and they had a ball. I’m not so sure teenagers would have had a great time. When we were there some of the rides for the older clientele were not working. I would make sure you take lunch in there. The food is really average and expensive which is not good enough really.Written 16 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VescenceSydney, Australia292 contributionsIf you do one touristy thing in Gold Coast, this is worth the cost.
We didn’t book and on clear skies, decided to spontaneously head up Q1 building - Skypoint observation deck - stunning outlook and views along the coast and hinderland.
Recommend taking your time and have a cocktail/bevy, few nibblies or a light lunch for a relaxing time to pass away the afternoon !Written 3 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Helvin3Auckland, New Zealand305 contributionsI actually enjoyed our day at Dreamworld more than I thought I would. Originally we had hoped to go to movie world, but learned that pretty much all the rides were closed. Dreamworld had a few rides closed as well, but more open + the animals so we went there just to fill our "theme park day". Wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be a pretty good day. Barely any shops / entertainment stuff was open, barely any people were there, so it felt like a free reign to just go on the rides whenever we wanted without any queues and see the animals in peace. Lunch options were actually quite good and reasonably priced.
To avoid disappointment I highly recommend checking the website in advance to see what's closed and going on a school day.Written 25 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The buildings and music get you in the Movie World mood as soon as you arrive, but I really expected more entertainment from real people. Seems like the shareholders don't want to spend any more than they have to. Food's expensive, take snacks, buy coffees.
Rides had a habit of breaking down or being closed. Little kids will love it though. The grand parade was good, would be better if participants interacted with the kids watching from the footpaths, rather than just walking and waving. Happens at the end of the day. "Stars" do walk around the streets during the day for photo ops.
The water flume ride was completely shut down and looked terrible. The whole Western style area was deserted and I felt sorry for the staff running the sideshows with zero customers.
Our little 4 year old did the Batman ride 5 times (shooting the lazer gun while riding in the bat mobile was the big attraction). All the kids rides were clean, well run and age appropriate (self drive cars, train, little roller coaster). Friendly, safety conscious staff on rides and in shops.
Did we get our money's worth? Probably. You have to do it at least once.Written 27 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I have been here a few times before on visits and always found a bargain, so was keen to introduce the wider family.
There are something like 200+ stores here and we needed two trips (the first 90 minutes, the second a full afternoon) to fully cover things off. We found plenty of footwear, sunglasses and clothing bargains to be had and even some giftware for family.
The food stores also have plenty of options for lunch/dinner.Written 29 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amy G1 contributionLast April my kids decided to give surfing ago at kirrapoint surf school.
James, and his team of surf coaches are really lovely and professional. The kids were up on their feet surfing waves in no time.
I could not recommend a better surf school for anyone from beginners to advanced surfers.Written 28 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Natural Bridge is so stunning it is not surprising it draws in the crowds. The drive in through rainforested Springbrook National park sets the scene perfectly and I passed some cute tiny towns like Numinbah that I need to come back to. It was raining the day I came (not pouring though) which made the experience more magical. The rainforest loves the rain & you can feel it. It’s a short easy walk through gorgeous Gondwana rainforest to the main event (the Natural Bridge cave & waterfall) though there are a few stairs to descend. The natural rock arch, formed by the force of the waterfall over a basalt cave, is a stunning work of natural art that made my jaw drop. Swimming is strictly forbidden (penalties apply) and I heeded the advice (was too cold to swim anyway) but the water is calm did not look dangerous at all (perhaps there is a danger of falling rocks).Written 24 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - allslantylikeCairns, Australia158 contributionsWe had a wonderful day exploring Springbrook National Park. Highlight was the Natural Bridge - I suggest getting there early so that you can enjoy it yourself, without the crowd. When we were leaving there were about 20 cars in the carpark.
We also visited other areas of the park including the ‘Best of all lookouts’ track, which was a lovely short walk, The Canyon - which is a lovely lookout and starting point for walks such as twin falls, Buliya-Buliya jagon boardwalk, Goomoolahra lookout, and Boojerahla lookout.
Just a tip, the Natural Bridge section of the park is about 45 minutes from the other sections of the park, so ensure you take that under consideration when planning your trip and choosing which starting point to put into your GPS.Written 10 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You need to weed out the good places to eat but that’s about the only down side to the area.
