After getting tired of walking we discovered that Cairns Electric Bikes hires ebikes and normal bikes. Cairns is such a bike friendly place we chose the normal bikes which were really easy to rise. Hired for the day we enjoyed roaming around including going to the Botanic Gardens where we used the supplied security chain to lock our bikes to the parking area. And cheap to hire

Hired a big bike on Monday and took it for a great ride up Pt Douglas and back through Mareeba. On Sunday grabbed a scooter to get around town and out to some great sites. Very reasonable prices. 24hr hire. No fuss very friendly and easy to deal with. Will definitely be back and borrowing anther bike.

Easy to use and a great service. The camera worked perfectly and even came with a red filter. Convenient service, just pick up and drop off from hotel reception.

I wd like 2 highly recommend Reef Unlimited (or Ree-FUN-limited)! 4 a ferry ⛴️ ride 2 Fitzroy Island.

We were driving 🚗 on our way 2 the port 2 join our cruise when we received notification 🔔 that due 2 bad weather 🌦️ the ship 🚢 was being rerouted from the Pacific Islands 2 Queensland.

My daughter wanted 2 go snorkelling 🤿 with the fish, 🐠 coral 🪸 & turtles 🐢 etc & she was gutted.

In Cairns with 2 days in port we excitedly visited the local marina & the many operators, 2 find that trips 4 that day had already left & trips the following day were fully booked or we couldn’t get there early enuf in the am or back early enuf in the arvo 2 catch the last boat back. To say we were disappointed 😢 was an understatement.

The cost of wifi on the cruise was abt $20/day, so it was prohibitive 4 us 2 use & therefore couldn’t organise/book ahead. In hindsight 2 make the most of the time, we shd have done.

So back on the ship I reviewed the 2 flyers I had picked up that day & suggested 1 trip which was a 1/2 day ferry ⛴️ trip only, 2 Fitzroy Island.

Dep 10.45am & arr back @ 3pm which we shd have enuf time either side 2 do. Only abt 2 hrs on the island 🏝️ but at least it was something. Their full day schedule was 8.30am - 5pm. So I rang & booked. 😛

We got up @ 5am, had breakfast, got tickets 4 the tender (boat) 2 shore & were on the first boat. Got 2 the marina & were checking out the place 2 catch the trip & the 8.30am boat was just leaving, so I asked if we cd get on!

They thankfully obliged & so we got there a few hrs early! 😊 My daughter & hubby, (who had their own snorkeling gear) spent over an hr snorkelling 🤿!

We had a leisurely time on the beautiful island 🏝️ & beaches b4 boarding the ferry back again 2 arrive @ 3pm & had plenty of time 2 get back 2 the ship. 🛳️

All the staff were wonderful, but Patrick, in particular, shined with his jovial sense of humour & ongoing service 2 guests on our return trip, selling ice-creams & drinks. 🍻 It made an already enjoyable day more so. 😁
    Thank u 🙏🏻 2 everyone - from booking, 2 steering, 2 serving!

Had an amazing weekend with Pump n Pedals bike hire at the Smithfield Mountain Bike tracks. Highly highly recommended. The staff were absolutely first class in ensuring we had the right bikes, were fitted correctly and provided detailed guidance on the world class trail network at Smithfield.

The bikes provided were extremely high quality. Ordinarily when I travel I would try to take my bike with me as all of the bike hire places I have encountered have sub quality bikes - not the case with Pump n Pedals where the bikes are practically brand new latest models and maintained to a very high standard.

Special thanks to Adam and Trina who gave me extra plus plus service.

I hired a Street Bob and had a trip up into the Atherton Table Lands for a day. Absolutely fantastic, Ross was fantastic with advice on what to see and how to get there. What a thrill. #RideWithEagleRider

What an absolute disgrace of a rental company. 1. On our arrival, the van's battery was completely flat.
    2. The fridge was old and had to be replaced. All our food had to be dumped because the old fridge did not work. It was found that the auxiliary battery was also faulty and had to be replaced with a new battery. 3. There were no handles for climbing in and out of the van, especially for older people.
    4. My husband fell from the bed onto the ground because he could not shut the sliding door to sleep.
    5. There was a crack in the front windscreen. The windscreen was replaced, however! The person who took us over to check the windscreen showed us there was no crack, just dirt. He was making me out to be the liar! until I looked to the left of the windscreen and found that a new windscreen had been replaced by the documentation attached to the left side. 6. There was storage for all the crockery and glasses in a rack above the sink with a shattered wine glass and a broken cup that could've caused a severe injury.
    7. The electrical cable used to power up the van at the holiday parks was also outdated, which was brought to our attention when we camped at a park in Auckland.
    8. We paid this company $12,966.00 from 16/2/2024 to 21/3/2024. Other customers who had hired the same kind of van from Jucy in Auckland and travelled more often than we did evidenced that we were overcharged. We asked for our money back. Instead, we were offered a mobile home, which would cost us another $9000.00 and was too big for me to drive. Therefore, we had no choice but to stay in the same campervan because the company manager refused to return our money. His idea was that we were older people and we would not complain.
    9. On the 21st of March 2024, after we completed our vacation and returned to our residence, we found that $473.00 had been deducted from our credit card, stating that this was for the toilet cassette and grey water tank that had not been emptied. Without our authorisation, Jucy processed this in Christchurch (where we returned the campervan). Rodger checked the van on 21/3/2024 at the Christchurch Jucy Depot. This payment was processed on 26/3/2024. The company also charged us $55.00 on 1/4/2024 without our authorisation. We want to clarify that the toilet cassette and grey water were emptied and cleaned before we arrived at Jucy Campervan Rentals on 21/3/2024.

We spent three days of vacation driving back to the Jucy depot in Auckland. We were refunded for the three days, and some of the food was replaced and returned to our account, a total of $800.00. The Manager did purchase a small set of steps to assist with climbing in and out of the van. The steps proved unsuitable, and the campervan became unsafe to sleep in. Therefore, we had to find Airbnb and motels, which was an extra expense. This amount does not equate to our total expenditure
The campervan could not travel comfortably throughout our vacation because it was unsuitable, unsafe, and uncomfortable. to travel in.

Peter is great! Excellent service, very clean and quality equipment at a reasonable price. We stayed in Palm Cove, Peter brought the gear to our reception (but would have met us pretty much anywhere) and gave some very helpful hints about tides and the fish types in the area. Everything was supplied: rod, hand line, tackle, chair, chopping boards, extra buckets and bait even a first aid kit! Highly recommend for visitors and locals that want a fun weekend without having to buy all the kit. Cheers Peter, will definitely hire from you again.

Been a dream of mine to ride the Captain Cook highway on a harley from Cairns to Port Douglas. On a recent trip to Palm Cove contacted Ross at EagleRide and organised a Electra Glide Ultra Limited.. Ross was really good to deal with and really helpful and engaging. He even helped out with some gear when it was obvious our gear wouldn't be great in the tropical heat. The big Electra Glide ran like a dream and my wife and i had a great day. Couldnt recommend Ross and EagleRider more. Thanks again Ross. Sean and Alex
