The exhibit of the various boats and sailing vessels that people have used to travel and immigrate was the best part and easily missed if you didn’t stumble onto the entrance to that exhibit.

This is a nice little temple, we didn't get to go through the museum because we were here on the wrong day. There is a lot of red here in line with the Chinese belief of the auspicious meaning of the colour.

This House is a museum and is National Trust classified. It was closed when I went there as not open too many hours.

We visited the Motor Vehicle Enthusiasts Club Inc MVEC - it is the oldest and largest motor enthusiasts club in the Northern Territory with over 400 members most of whom reside in Darwin, Katherine and surrounding areas.

There was a lovely lady and a few gentlemen who are part of the club that volunteer their time to run the place.
They gave us the history of the hanger and how things came into the club’s possession.

You could see how much these items meant to them, and how the museum brought them all together.

This is a non-profit organisation - donations are welcomed for going through the hanger to see it all.

We gave them a $20 donation, as they spent a lot of time in detail telling us everything - they were so shocked and so grateful.
The proceeds they make go to their chosen charity.

I highly recommend checking them out!!

If you do go, PLEASE donate, It doesn’t have to be much, every little bit helps 🙏

The old QANTAS hangar is open for visitors on weekdays 9.30am to 3.30pm and 9am to 2pm Saturdays
