- Jane21 contributionsEvan collected us from our hotel and after collecting a few more people we set off to Fogg Dam. All the way Evan filled us in about the history of Darwin and when we arrived at Fogg Dam we saw a good variety of birds in a short time and then stopped while he collected our lunches from a local pub and we could use facilities and get a drink before setting out for the short trip to Corrobree Lagoon where we boarded our boat and had about three hours on the water enjoying the scenery and his excelkent commentary about the plants, birds and crocodiles. There was a lot to see and we also were given a wonderful fresh box of salad and salad meats plus cheese which we consumed while observing the birds and crocs of which there were many.
One large croc must have been over 4 metres long but we saw many well over 3 metres long as well as some fresh water crocs.
I could highly recommend this trip. Excellent guide and lunch and I felt the guide Evan gave one hundred and fifty percent to the clients.
I felt Evan knew his birds well and was passionate about the lagoon.

Robert, our guide, was full of information, and wherever we went for swimming stops, he showed us the quietest corners. The various lakes and rivers in which we swam (one didn't need to swim, of course) were absolutely beautiful, and the trip was a joy. The air boat was a wonderful way to start and the look on our kids faces said it all. Adrenaline!! Josh was a wonderful host and guide and cooked us a delish brunch once we were on the river cruise. Visiting the crocs for feeding time was fascinating and gave us excellent insight into how these extraordinary animals work and that they are not the fearsome beasts they are made out to be. Robbo took us on our chopper flights and it was a brilliant and picturesque way to end our tour. Couldn’t recommend more highly, facilities were top notch and Josh was a very knowledgeable and welcoming host. We loved it!
