This is a quaint, spacious farm with a good selection of animals. This is a great place for especially for families and children as it has fun tractor rides, playgrounds and opportunities to pet animals, big and small.

It's worth a look if you are in the area, a bit of history to help develop an understanding of like in days gone past.

It was located in Bundoora, in a gorgeous garden , an old and lovely building, inside there was a few pictures, not really interesting.

Easy to get to the highest natural point in metro Melbourne...137 meters. A relaxing spot to visit but make it on a clear sky day.

Quite good local market. Plant prices good. Decent variety of stalls and food stalls. Runs each Sunday between 9 and 1pm. Plenty of car parking.

It's a bit of a mission to get from the CBD to the university on public transport but the trip from Flinders St to South Morang by train and then an express bus to the uni went smoothly. I didn't know about the gallery and was focused on walking the sculpture trail, which I thoroughly enjoyed, despite rain showers coming and going, a fresh wind and dropping temperatures. Some of the sculptures on the map were no longer there or not accessible, and other were unkempt. But, it was still well-worth the effort and there are lots of places to enjoy a picnic lunch.

Bundoora is fortunate to have both this area and Bundoora Park which is not far away. The Darebin Creek goes through this parkland' In addition to flora and fauna there is an excellent playground which caters for children of all ages. There's also barbeques. seats and toilets.

We spent two hours here and the kids didn't stop! Lots of inflatable creations to bounce on and have fun...slides, the wall cliff, basketball, obstacles etc. A safe environment where everything is bouncy and soft.
This was a great afternoon filler and is usually available during school holidays.

The Preston Cemetery has much to say about contemporary burial and monumental culture, but not so much on history. It is easily reached by bus and tram (stops at the gate). There is an office and basic toilet facilities on site. If you want to find a specific grave, it is better to search online as the office has shorter opening hours than does the cemetery. There is a basic map near the gate as well.

Mini golf course in Preston- easily accessible by public transport. Tram #86 stops right outside. Took 20 students to have a round of mini golf. Fantastic fun, and very quiet on a weekday during the day. There are two courses- lakes and deserts... I did the lakes one and think it may have been slightly easier than the other.
There's a small cafe that is reasonably priced, also a coffee place out the front . Lots of car parking available too.
Enjoyable day for the students- there are picnic tables too.

Staff are engaging and friendly - they make it so easy to organise big and small events in this space. Booking, room set-up, catering and payment are never a worry with great feedback from event attendees.

Nestled into suburbia at the rear of La Trobe University in Bundoora, and surrounded by natural landscape and gorgeous flora (River Red Gums) and fauna (Kangas, Ducks, Cockys etc) is this affordable and enjoyable local Golf Course. Relatively easy from the front Tees and pretty tricky from the back Tees, these smallish greens take a little talent to par or bogey but the process of playing is at times more enjoyable than the end result on the card :-)
