Edmond was our driver and he took us to so many places and explained everything along the way and at the sites. He had no problem waiting for us, we could spend as much time as we wanted at each stop. I was able to provide him a list of the places our party of 4 wanted to go and he quickly looked at the list and put them in order with the lay of the land. If you want a GREAT one day tour of the sites of Malta book with Edmond Garage and ask for Edmond as your driver. This tour gave us a great overall of Malta so the rest of the days we were their we could go back to the best places, and there are many. - Tracie GTampa, FL6 contributionsThis was our first trip to Malta & we decided to take a day trip over to Gozo last minute. From the moment we booked the tour Anna was attentive with details. She picked us up from our hotel and took us on a scenic drive to the ferry where we took a quick boat ride over to Gozo. We visited several different landmarks and enjoyed an amazing local pizza. immediately had a replacement car and driver for us. Peter showed up and continued our tour. He showed us every corner of Malta. We feel in love with Malta. There is so much history and beauty in Malta and Peter was a phenomenal guide. He had a passion for Malta and so did we after our tour. It was by far our best tour, ever! Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - mmv20Joplin, MO27 contributionsMay 11, 2023 Husband and I were on the ship, just outside the port, eating breakfast, waiting to leave the ship when the Breakaway's Captain announced that it was too windy and unsafe to take the ship all the way in to port, so the day was cancelled. I immediately called the tour operator to let them know that our ship would not be in so we couldn't show up for the excursion. They told me no refund because they had to "pay the guide and transportation." I was told to make a claim through my trip insurance.
I did not intend to cancel, just couldn't get to the island!
A refund inquiry through Tripadvisor told me that since I had only called one hour before excursion and other ships had made it into port I would not receive any money back.
(Like I had any control over these factors)
Be AWARE that trip insurance does NOT cover excursions unless you specifically add the cost of them to the policy, this also increases the policy cost!
As I'm pretty sure our tour spots could have been filled by other ship's passengers, I don't know why my $470 had to be used to pay the guide and transportation.
