Didn’t know what to expect at first because we was just walking by for some drinks. However, we got very positive surprised. The bartender made very tasty cocktails and a the staff was supernice. Fast on the floor and they also took time to talk to us since it was our first time. The night we visited they were playing “rock” music. We asked if we could make some request songs,( club music/ electronic) and was told No at first. But after a while the manager came and asked what we wanted to listen to… that really made our night,
It ended up us staying for 2.5 hours…and we was just going in for 1-2drinks in the beginning.
This is a small and very cozy place and I can really recommend it. We visited on a Friday night and had a wonderful night- it was a delightful change from the main area of noise, commercial loud pop and teenagers!
The crowd is older people, drinks are not watered down, music is good, no one hassles you and you have room to sit down at tables and talk.
We paid an entrance fee of €15, it did get us a free glass of Prosecco which was appreciated!
The staff were ok, no one was overly friendly or rude. Had the best time, and people were respectful if we wanted to be left alone.

The staff were not Irish but were absolutely genuine nice staff and helped in every way possible. The drink was very good. If you want fine dining this is not the place to go to, but if you want cheap decent food and drink , it is ! Probably the best value bar in the area. - c kMarseillan, France27 contributionsWhere to start? Place looks like a cheap wedding venue... 2 sq.m unstocked bar. Dj seemed like theonly one having fun... I dont know how... useless dj fade in fade out mixing doing the funky chicken to some old song he enjoys from his youth... sort of what you would have if you organise a party with your friends... and guess what, when I organise a party for my friends, more people show up!!! Place was empty... you see their fb page full of pics of groups of ppl gives the impression of "fun" they self proclaimed their nights "epic"... yes, epic bs. They have a photographer going around gathering ppl taking pictures when in reality place is empty and 0 atmospehere. Bad taste old fashioned led tables and ppl with plastic faces who seem like they never had a day of real fun in their life... with so much the island has to offer in summer I dont see why someone would choose to stay here for more than 15 min. There were more staff than guests... and btw rudest hostess ever... where did you find her? If a table is reserved write on it and dont come giving me bad looks and make us moove when we havent even finished our drink cause you know what happens? - SeenIt9Sheffield, UK828 contributionsFound the Drayton years ago but its not that difficult to track down, less than 1 min walk from the busy Paceville Piazza (Square) yet most people seem to just glance in the door as they walk past.
The Drayton is mainly favoured by the Maltese but you do get a few tourists in & the drinks are reasonably priced. 1 pint of Cisk & a glass of wine €6, for example.
It is a bit dark on the inside, decorated mainly like a British pub / bar, with a number of tv's either showing music videos or sport. You can also get a game of pool.

My friend's phone was stolen, along with the phones of two other girls and another girl's legal ID. Theft seems rampant here, yet the managers couldn’t care less. They were shockingly rude, raised their voices, dismissed our concerns, and shouted at us to get out. The staff's indifference and hostility make this place a disaster.
