- Michelle MEvans Head, Australia84 contributionsMy husband and I really enjoyed the museum. Lots of history with this amazing Island, and it was put together and displayed very well. Nice cool aircon and the museum was spotless clean and looks brand new. We also did the town tour with Paster Hermie which was also great.Written February 7, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BelleBucheon, South Korea607 contributionsDitaytayan was our last stop in our island hopping tour and it was tje most beautiful island we visited. We were lucky to be the only boat that docked here during the afternoon. We got the whole island to ourselves!
The sandbar was divine! It's so beautiful for photos and just to sunbathe.
There is also a coral reef beside it that has so many fishes.Written February 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - baroomMississauga, Canada2,181 contributionsThis was stop #2 during our Joiners Island Escapade Tour (P1700/person) with Calamian Islands Travel and Tours on Thu, May 18. It took us 30 mins to get here from Malcapuya Island where we had lunch. The sandbar is located on the northern tip of Ditaytayan Island. It was pretty stunning to look at as our boat approached from the west. I would say picture-perfect until I saw a couple of local tourists in the water huddled under a black umbrella for sun protection. Now that was a strange sight. Ditaytayan Sandbar is literally a bar of sand so naturally there is no shade. I did notice a few white tents set up about 150 mtrs away, right near the trees. So sun avoiders beware, bring your sun hats and lather on your sunscreen.
We were assisted off the tour boat via a narrow wooden gangplank. I wasted no time and immediately asked our young boat crew member Nelson to work his magic and do a quick "human drone" souvenir video for my family. While some in our tour group sunbathed or snorkeled or walked around, we swam in the clear shallow waters across from where the tour boat, Jangerlyn, was anchored. Later we transferred and relaxed in the water near the outrigger, under the shade of the tour boat, where the water was slightly cooler.
We stayed here at Ditaytayan Sandbar for only one hour and then we were all assisted back to the boat so we can head to our next destination, Bulog Dos Island.Written August 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our lunch is provided by our tour and we just used the tables and cottages. It's a small property and has nothing much to offer. The cabanas and swings are also good for photos. There's also a store that sells snacks and beverages.
The sand is not as fine as the other beaches. It's coarse but still white. The water was warmer here than the other beaches we visited. It was a good spot to just rest and chill.Written February 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
