Interesting place overlooking the lost town of Famagusta. I can't imagine what the Cypriots went through that lived there including the owner of the museum who still owns a restaurant in the 'ghost town' . Very sad for the people whose livelihoods and business which was once thriving and is now lost to the buffer zone or 'no man's land.' I hope that one day the UN can resolve this historic conflict soon and move on from a war that was nearly 50 years ago for the sake of the Cypriot people.

I know there's various trips you can book to get here, but if your looking to keep cost down and don't mind a bit of exercise, I hired a bike and it was 5 miles each way from the Atlantic Sea breeze in Pernera. This cost me 10 euro for bike hire and 3 euro for museum entry including binoculars for the viewing point and a can of coke. A degree of fitness is required as various hills and busy roundabouts caught me out, but the Cyprus cycle paths were well connected in places and this was a different experience.

A charming museum and show case. Be sure to go on both sides of the road. Really interesting facts all clearly labeled, a wedding suite and a great coffee shop

We stopped here briefly during our ghost town tour with Mr.John. Located in Deryneia Central Square this small church is dedicated to Saint George and was built in the late 15th or early 16th centuries. Fine old icons of the patron saint and some old wall paintings made this a little unexpected treat.
