The only decent place to yo in the South of Cebu is The Kawasan Falls in Badian. It is quite spoilt though compared to many years ago as they made it so commercial for tourist, and now you can only hi to the first falls. The rest for Canyoneering. Quite unfair but it is still worth going there. I just hope people maintain it's cleanliness. Filipinos are so bad in dumping their trash everywhere. Appalling attitude.

I actually booked via Klook, and Mcrich was in charge of our 3 Day Cebu Highlights Tour. The first day was a city tour, second was swimming with whale sharks in Oslob plus Tumalog falls, third was Moalboal island hopping and Kawasan Falls canyoneering. Our driver Rodrigo was new to the job; he said he's only had five months experience, so his English wasn't too good, and we didn't have much conversation, but he was accomodating nevertheless. We wanted to skip some parts of the city tour that we weren't interested in, and stop by a 7-11 and a supermarket, and all we had to do was ask, and he did his best to meet our needs. On the second day we were fortunate enough to finish the whale shark experience very early, so we moved the Kawasan Falls canyoneering to the second day, which turned out to be the correct choice because on the third day we could sleep in a bit and return to the city sooner. Also we skipped Aguinid Falls and went to Tumalog Falls instead, per Rodrigo's suggestion. It turned out to be great. Rodrigo handled the rescheduling perfectly, and he was a safe driver. He kept our stuff safe for us, and did all the negotiating with the locals. Essentially all we had to do was show up. The guides that Mcrich are in cooperation with are all super good. Our canyoneering guide was very experienced and helpful. Our Moalboal island hopping boatmen were also very professional and took wonderful underwater pictures of us with sea turtles and the sardine run. I would book with Mcrich again.

My husband and I along with another couple did the Kawasan canyoning. It was a highlight of our 2 week long trip to the Philippines! Let me start by saying that we are an adventurous group of 50 somethings. This tour is not for the faint of heart, but we all did it with no problems. I understood that in order to do the canyoning, it is required that each person have their own individual guide. Joepro provided each of us with a guide, and they took excellent care of us. I was probably the most trepidatious of the group, but they did not force me to jump off of 2 of the jumps that were just too high for me, instead offering me another way to climb down. One of the guides took one of our phones along on the trip and took LOTS of great photos of us.

We started by donning helmets, and life vests, again mandatory. Then they drove us by motorcycle, (3 to one motorcycle) along a mountain trail to a zipline, which is optional. We had the choice to do the zipline standard, or superman style. It is quite long over a deep ravine. I loved it, finding it exhilarating, and beautiful. Then we hiked for about 15 minutes, until we came to the entry point. From there it is about 3 hours of jumping, swimming, hiking, sliding down rocks, and at one point being pulled under the water through a hole in the rocks (very short span)! The water is the most beautiful shade of powder blue, and we witnessed one drop dead gorgeous waterfall after another. This trip will satisfy any jungle ravine fantasy! There are caves, and grottos, and spans to be floated, and other spans to be waded through. Afterward we had lunch at a little tiny restaurant just down the alley and up some stairs from the Joepro check-in office. It was the best food we had the entire trip! And that is saying something because we had a lot of good food! Maybe we had just worked up an appetite, but it was very very good!

All of us had a fantastic experience, and would recommend this tour to anyone who is active, adventurous, and not afraid of heights.
