When we went here in September, waves are waist high, and it was the most dangerous boat ride we've ever had. I can't count the number of times when the boat almost turned upside down. If planning to visit during rainy season, it's best to call the local coast guard first to ensure your safety (or don't go instead). Locals are very friendly though. You'll find group of birds trying to catch fishes near the shore. Water is very clear. We aren't able to see the sand bar due to bad weather and high tide. We tried hiking but it rained while we're in the middle and it becomes more dangerous when the wind started to blow. But the view of the island from the top is great.

Get tatay josue as your guide :) start early and i mean around 4am first 3hours of trek are open fields. Lots of water sources along the way. Safe to bring only 1L.

Great Background for picture taking while taking photos in the Malalison Island's Batanes-like hills or while in the Coral Beach of Luyo. Nablag Islet is an extended part of Malalison Island during low tide.

Batbatan Island in Culasi, Antique Province is one of the best bird watching sites where you can see several species of wild birds up close and personal. They are being left alone due to a local animistic belief that harming them may bring some bad luck. The white beaches-dotted island is also home to a colony of flying foxes.
