The cliff walks are great, and the walks behind Howth castle provide stunning views of a wall of rhododendrons that when they blossom in late April to early May are at peak.

The walk along the impressive Howth harbour eastern breakwater is well worth it for the views of this island and the seals and fishing boats that compliment the scene.
I'd recommend it for some fresh air, peace and quiet and a different view.

One of Dublin's best walks , required good footware as the sutface is uneven in parts, great views of Dublin Bay and the north county Dublin coast ,with luck you might spot the odd pod of dolphins.
We had a great afternoon enjoying the view of Howth harbor, the island, Ireland's Eye and Bailey's lighthouse.

Walk to the top of the hill towards the Deer Park Hotel where you can view a most beautiful view of Dublin City amongst the gorse and heather.
If you are near Dublin it is well worth the trip to the village of Howth to see the sites including Howth Castle.

There are excellent vantage points from which to view the ruins, although sadly the abbey itself is locked up and can only be accessed with permission of the nearby parish (presumably for a formal tour).
