There are paved trails through the woods making it an accessible nature walk, you can see fish under the water in a stream, and a really interesting train car exhibit about historical fish planters.
The other time we went with our more outdoors focused crew and they loved the nature walk, all the wild flowers, and the "underwater observation area".

This park borders one of the best adventure rivers in Michigan, the Sturgeon river is deep, fast, and challenging.
Being frequent visitors to Tawas Pointe State Park and Mackinaw Mill Creek Campgrounds, for location and the marvelous Burt Lake, I think this may be our new favorite!
