What travelers are saying
- AliceBournemouth, UK105 contributionsThe best thing we did in the Dolomites.
We arrived at about 9am for the hike, we parked about 0.5km down the road from the starting point, completely free! Which is amazing.
Recommend wearing proper shoes, as even the 1.5 hour walk to the lake is a bit sketchy at points!
The lake itself is SO beautiful. Really really stunning and it really is as blue as you’ve seen in the pictures.
Instead of doing the same walk back, we chose to do the more challenged 216 trail. This is HARD. There is an uphill climb (and I mean literally climbing up rocks at points!) that takes about an hour, and it has lots of slippery rocks and sheer drop offs, but the views at the top are incredible. You then go through a basin and climb back up to get to the top of another mountain. Snow was covering the path at certain points, and it did make for a very slippery downhill ascent at one point which was actually a bit scary!
All in our hike was 17km with an elevation gain of 800m, but it was an incredible hike, and if you’re feeling up for it, do the circular route through trail 216 for some stunning scenery.Written June 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Interesting to walk the WW1 trenches, can't even imagine the horror those poor soldiers had to ensure!! Walking around was reasonably easy and didn't take more than a couple of hours. Highly recommend.Written September 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- oedevosAlsemberg, Belgium119 contributionsGreat museum with lots of first-hand reports by soldiers in three languages, old photos and clear layout of the site. - BoquillonBarboleusaz, Switzerland257 contributionsGood wide path for most of the route, al touch steeper and narrower towards the end. If you take any of the side paths be very careful as several end in via Ferrata and you need equipment. Otherwise a very easy walk with good views.Written November 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Gilbert GMalta46 contributionsPasso Falzarego is an incredible place. I have been several times and each time I explore something new. Near the Passo there is also a cable car that takes you on the mountain and this takes you to an incredible view of the Dolomites. The cable car is not open all the year round , so I advise you to check the period you will be visiting the place.Written March 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Fell-O_TravellerUKGarden of England163 contributionsThis mountain looks impenetrable when you view it from the top of the chair lifts, but there is a great Via Ferrata route up which isnt too long and gives a real sense of achievement. It is just hard enough to be enjoyable without being too difficult.
There are great views all around from the top as this rocky slab sticks out above most things in the area
There are also 3 lovely rifugios near here which you can make use of once you have climbed the mountain.Written January 20, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
