Perfect walk, relaxing part of the city. Enjoyed a lot the architecture around the narrow banks of the river. It was really a peaceful visit.

Difficult to put into words this extremely emotional venue. Pristine grounds, excellent facilities. The graves of thousands of American soldiers who sacrificed their lives during WWII. Gorgeous monuments. Take the time to visit if you can.

A real centre piece of the city, a beautiful building with an organ that boast literally hundreds of pipes, beautiful stained glass and a chance to seek some solitude from the main city

It's a great walk to see the beautiful landscapes that the city of Luxembourg has to offer. Many places to just sit and relax, enjoy this beautiful city. The view from above is amazing, picturesque when looking at the beautiful preserved buildings, street and former fortress walls.

Fantastic way of looking at the lower part of the city from above. The panoramic elevator was a nice experience.
Must have seen when at Luxembourg.

I like a lot to walk, that is why I would never live anywhere else but in Europe. This is a nice spot of Luxembourg-ville where you can reconnect with nature, in the heart of the city. We visited the 'secret gardens' where I got some nice seeds, to plant at home and I liked to walk along the river. The rocks are impressive and I visited also the casemates, that are very close to this, with my boyfriend - there we took many funny photos. There is nothing more amazing than to enjoy such a place with the partner of your dreams. Have safe trips!

Part of the fortifications of the old city of Luxembourg. The fortifications included built up stone walls, fortresses, and towers and an extensive series of underground tunnels (casemates). The casemates are dug into a promontory overlooking the historic old city and the Alzette River. This strategic point in Europe was the scene of centuries of battles, with various parts of the fortifications being destroyed and rebuilt many times. With the Treaty of London in 1867, many of the above-ground fortifications were dismantled, but the casemates and some ruins remain. Even if you are unable to enter the casemates (often closed in winter and during the Covid pandemic), you can see and appreciate to some extent while walking past along the Le Chemin de la Corniche.

Another freebee thing to do in Luxembourg City. Absolutely incredible building built into the rock of the city. 7/8 floors split across 2 buildings. Interesting mixture of national museum stuff, art and furniture. We really enjoyed it. Well worth a look

It's worth stopping by just to have a look and take some pictures. The guard changes take place on regular basis.

The plaza is in the center of downtown and a great place to start your explorations. We found parking nearby and admired the town. There are several dining options here on the plaza, although they're pretty touristy, and we enjoyed getting an ice cream. We were also impressed with the public bathrooms located just off the main square, which were both free and very clean.

If they are open they are great to visit, but when I went June 2022 they were closed. Very disappointed! Thet have been closed for more than a year. You can still take pictures of outside. Still worth going. Not just for outside pictures, but pictures all around area. Beautiful views! Transportation is free in Luxembourg so take advantage! Tram, train, and bus FREE! Visit Vianden castle. Eat at restaurants at base of casemates in valley there. Visit the statue of mermaid across from church down there next to canal. WALK AROUND VERY NICE!

A great area where to relax on a bench or strolling among the trees, and a place where children can have a great time on the swings. pity the pirates ship was being refurbished when we were there - but it will definitely be a great attraction when finished

Very good and well told history of Luxembourg and the capital city. Excellent value at just €5. Straddles 3 floors and chronologically takes you through time. All displays had French/German/English narrative. Poster exhibition on floor 5 was a bonus
