On our first attempt “hunting” for the lights, we were unfortunately unsuccessful. However, our guide, Bear, was absolutely fantastic. He had an enormous depth of knowledge regarding the history/politics/environment of Iceland, and much more. We learnt a lot. As we did not see the lights, we were also able to rebook for free a few days later, where we saw the lights within an hour of searching. Stunning.

Would highly recommend this tour, purely for their rebooking policy if you are unsuccessful. Definitely book on your first or second night to give yourself the best chance.

Fantastic guide/very knowledgeable about the country. Visited some gorgeous locations. The black sand beach was a personal favourite. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland.

AH-MAY-ZING! Our boat driver was sooo good. He knows the bay well and even knows the specific whales from each other. Other boats were leaving the area after seeing a breech, and our guide knew to hang out for a minute or two to see a closer breech. He pointed out humpbacks, minke whales, dolphins, and a puffin. This was a bucket list item and it was all i dreamed it would be.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The driver was amazing and knowledge. Sadly blue lagoon was closed due to the volcanic eruptions but I enjoyed the alternative being sky lagoon. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour, the guide Karen and driver Gregor excellent. Karen was a constant source of interesting information throughout the trip. Fortunately the weather was good, so we were able to see the all the sites we visited at there best for this time of year.

Shoutout to M-Dawg! Our tour guide Matt was amazing. I have been on many guided tours in different countries and he just might be the best guide I've ever had.

PLEASE NOTE: It's a GUIDED tour. If you're not interested in learning cool information as you drive along the South Coast, you're welcome to rent a car and make the stops yourself. M-Dawg did warn us that he would chime in on the PA about every 10-15 minutes or so, and he did just that. Always with a cool piece of information each time, and some fun facts or jokes you wouldn't hear otherwise. He was comedic, informative and overall a cool guy, also happy to take your photos for you!

I absolutely loved the information and didn't mind it one bit, but I can see how some people might not be a fan of it, especially in the early parts of the morning, or the frequency of it throughout the day. But it was all cool with me. I don't blame M-Dawg, there's just so much cool stuff to point out at every turn. 10/10 would go again.

It was really an amazing experience to go across the golden circle with Your Day Tours. Our captain for the day Anastasia was very informative and we loved the fun and banter we had on the way with her. I appreciate her knowledge. Loved the experience with Your Day tours.

We scheduled a Northern Lights tour from Reykjavik our first night in the city and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Our guide Greg was an engineer by trade, and thus gave us a great scientific perspective on how and why the Aurora occurs. Based on his tracking and projections, Greg brought us out to the Thingvellir National Park area and hit the nail on the head. Around 9:30pm we got a 45 minute uninterrupted Northern Lights show. He took some amazing pictures of us as well.

We tried seeing the lights at one more location but it wasn't as brilliant as the first. Greg also pointed out various stars, planets and constellations before providing us with hot chocolate.

Highly recommend this trip on your first night in Reykjavik!

Our guide was fantastic. Knew a great spot to view the lights and was very knowledgeable about them. The “food tour” at the end was a great touch. Great experience!

Unbelievable, an amazing experience with a great and knowledgeable driver and photographer that made everything so worth it. Being able to download the photos of a professional photographer a huge bonus.

The crew was very professional in so many ways. They advised everyone to stay down on the lowest deck where it was warm and they would tell us when it was time to try to see the Northern Lights. They had huge signs reminding everyone not to leave their phone in the (free) snow bib overalls that they provided for guests (I almost forgot mine lol). And finally, they gave out tips on how to photograph the Northern Lights, which I hadn't even thought about! They also played classic pop music from the U.S. So glad I went with this tour company as this was the highlight of my trip and a dream come true seeing the Northern Lights!

Our apartment wasn’t on the pickup list, but Otto picked us up at one about a block away. Very convenient. We started off the day with the glacier hike. If you’re expecting something strenuous, this isn’t it. It was a pretty small “hike”. I was a bit disappointed we didn’t go out further. But, it was beautiful and still an enjoyable experience. After the glacier, we went to a black sand beach. Truly gorgeous. My wife and I had a quick lunch there before we drove to our next stop. The first waterfall was huge! We hated that we only had fifteen minutes to explore. We barely had time to go up the stairs to see it from above and get a couple pictures from the ground. The last stop was another, smaller waterfall. It was too icy to go behind it like people normally do, so we didn’t bother walking out to it. The whole day was rushed, but it was a great way to squeeze in a lot of sights in a short amount of time. Otto was very funny and a great guide. I think, overall, this was a pretty decent tour.

Highly recommended. We took our tour 30.11.2024. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and explained everything about volcanos, lava flows and everything in between. To my surprise, he took us fairly close to the erupting volcano (safe distance obviously) but close enough where we could smell and see the boiling lava inside of the erupting volcano, and the lava flow. It was amazing. I am really glad we booked this tour and would do it again in a heartbeat.
From the parking lot we hiked about 1.5 hours to the site and 1.5 back. The hike is easy, but you do have to be prepared for the weather. when we hiked the temp was about -8 Celsius with 30 km per hour winds, but the views were definitely worth it. as long as you have layers of clothing and something to cover your face it's not bad at all.

Very well organised, nice waiting room with facilities, the helicopter was modern, clean and the pilot was very friendly and professional, I booked the helicopter tour as it was the only way to see the active eruption, Never in my life did I expect to see what i saw, the pilot made sure we had unbelievable views of the eruption, if you are in Iceland and the volcano is still erupting then you must do this, i had another tour booked on the same day, both with free cancellation and i was unsure which one to cancel, the helicopter tour was 6 times more expensive but worth every single penny without doubt, a once in a lifetime unforgettable experience, 10 out of 10, thanks for wiping another one off the bucket list,
