- Maryann LFair Oaks, CA1,328 contributionsWe scheduled the trip from the airport to our hotel before arriving in Iceland. Booking by phone was very easy. We arrived early for the appointed time and the bus driver was kind enough to open the bus for us. We were taken to the bus terminal where we boarded a smaller bus. Not all buses can drive to all hotels because of road restrictions. We were dropped off several blocks from our hotel. A young lady offered to help with our bags and directed us on the short walk to the hotel. We did not use this service for our departure. Be aware that If you choose this option, you need to allow plenty of time for pick up and transfer. We would recommend 4 hours. - Sandra MHenderson, NV415 contributionsNo one there to advise much info. We had prebooked & paid for our transfer but they didn't take those folks 1st--and folks bought there at the moment. Fortunately we got on the bus & able to get to main terminal. - Roamer023Atlanta, GA89 contributionsMy husband and I arrived at the Keflavik airport shortly before midnight on Sept 24, 2016. Our Prime Shuttle driver, Oli, was already waiting for us at the designated
location. He helped us carry/pull our bags out to the minivan and it turns out, we were the only passengers for this trip.
The vehicle was clean and comfortable and Oli was very nice. As we were driving, he pointed out some things along the way and he also told us that the northern lights were visible earlier in the evening. I was thrilled to hear that. When we saw the lights as we were driving to Reykjavik, Oli very kindly pulled over twice to allow us to get out, admire them and take a few photos. Granted, this may not have been an option had there been other passengers who were tired and anxious to get to their hotels, but I will never forget Oli's kindness and flexibility. What a wonderful introduction to Iceland!
After our stops, we were safely delivered to our hotel. Needless to say, we were very happy with the service we received from Prime Shuttle.
