My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide Jenny was terrific. She is a performing arts student and it showed. She was entertaining and engaging and enjoyed sharing her city and culture with our group.

We had the best tour with Einar! He was very fun and super knowledgeable! We had a lot of laughs and he gave us so many recommendations for restaurants, bars, and Icelandic music to try out. 10/10 an amazing start to our trip!!

Great one day tour that gave us a good sampling of what Iceland has to offer. The tour ran on schedule and gave us plenty of time at each stop. The driver, Bjorn, was an entertaining guide.

Enjoyed the variety of food throughout the tour. Our guide was good at explaining the history of each establishment and food we were sampling. We loved that he included personal stories of how he and his family lived out the traditions. Recommend doing the food tour on first days of your visit as it is a great introduction to the culture and food of the area.

I visited Reykjavik with my sister and can only warmly recommend this tour if you want to dive into the local food scene. I wouldn't have tried dried fish otherwise and found out how delicious I find it. Seriously - give it a try!
In addition to the dried fish, I also ate some delicious salmon, tasted the different types of bread and learnt which dishes Icelanders have adopted and customised from other countries.
The food was very varied and accompanied by fascinating anecdotes about life in Iceland and interesting facts about the local food culture. I felt like i was getting a glimpse of Reykjavik away from the tourist attractions.
Not only did i learn and try a lot, i also felt that i was in good hands. Our lovely tour guide was a huge foodie herself and she was able to pass on her enthusiasm for good food to me. The atmosphere was relaxed and easy-going. I'd love to come back when I'm there again.

I had a private tour with Bjartur Gudmundsson who was the perfect tour host. He selected very special places which represented different aspects of capital life and food. Our first stop was at the Fischersund perfumery and boutique where smell and art are entertwined. Next we went to the posthu food hall and bar where I had an incredible lamb burger and other treats inspired by Indian spices. But looked like there were many good choices Next was the food cellar which had delicious food. And a place definitely to go back to. The tour de force was the private Kjarval club with great views and art. What I especially loved about the tour—getting a sense of the places, people, art and history from a delightfully interesting guide. I would highly recommend magical Iceland for a truly personalized experience.

We booked the private northern lights tour with lobster feast with Thor for our trip to Iceland in February. Thor arrived on time, was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we had a night to remember! The lobster feast really was a feast (delicious) and Thor made sure we were at a prime spot for the Northern Lights (we got engaged beneath them!) My partner had planned this prior to the trip and Thor made him feel completely at ease, even keeping hold of the ring during dinner and bringing some champagne along with him (requested and paid for by my partner in advance). We were incredibly lucky and the lights were very clear, Thors photography captured the moment and we have priceless photos/memories which will last a lifetime. THANK YOU for such an incredible experience and we would highly recommend for anyone looking at booking for that special occasion!

Nicolas and Carlos did an amazing job. We had a small wedding dinner with 11 people after our wedding/photo tour in the Snæfellness Peninsula. They arrived at our BnB before we returned to prepare. I was so impressed by how quickly and quietly they worked together, especially in our small kitchen.
The food was outstanding and our guests are still raving about it!
The correspondence with Nicolas was easy and he was very accommodating to my indecisiveness and a few changes. If you're considering hiring a chef, do it. They won't disappoint!
