This is a large expanse of green space near some of the main hotels near the railway station. I went several times on nice spring days. The pond has a rotating fountain which sometimes blows refreshing spray onto the shore. There are, as expected, ducks and other birds and I was there for duckling season as well. Lot's of places to sit, nice statuary along the paths, and on Sundays there is some sort of flea market and a children's art gallery. A nice place to hang out and enjoy the scenery.

If you are searching what to do with your children, this would be a place. It's definately more child orientated than for adults. We had 1 hour of climbing and 1 hour of the cave adventure. With the climbing, since there are many people there, you have to wait a few times that you can climb at some stations, just too many people. And for the cave, as an adult, it is very hard to go through the holes and as an adult it is possible to get stuck, but everyone can decide that for themselves if they want to try. It is definately possible, but only if you are not claustophobic. I would say perfect children age is 6-12 years for this place. Staff speaks english (but all instructions are in finnish of course), helps and is also nice.

Our main reason coming down here today was to enjoy the swimming pool. But my in-law advised me to take the sauna time. She did warn me earlier about getting naked in the sauna, was pretty reluctant before and got dillema between curious-reluctant.

Btw there's this parking lot in the next building from the club holiday. Take P4 if you're not members. We paid €2.5 for 1 hour.

We paid in total €45 for 1 child (7 yo), 1 adult and 1 senior citizen. That to include : one big changing room (and to keep our stuff as well), sauna and pool.

First thing to do was go to the changing room and undress completely. Just wrap your body with towel and bring your swimsuit with you, just don't use it yet. Pull your hair all together as the Finns can be very concern about hair in the pool, concern in a good way. The section for ladies and gents were separated, so not to worry about nudity.

In front of the sauna room, there's this rack where you can put your towel and swimsuit. There's this sheet roll in front of sauna's door, take it and use it as it is your butt's cover. It prevents you from getting burning from the hot sauna bench. Pls remember it's impolite to stare at others private part.

There are 2 sauna rooms : ladies only (i believe they also have gents only) and ladies+gents altogether.

After coming to the sauna, take shower and afterward put your swimsuit. If you want to skip the sauna it's ok, but do shower before the swimming pool. The Finns consider sweat from human body might not be good for the water and for other's comfort. Which make sense since some people prefer to take less shower time. And don't forget to put on the swimsuit before get into swimming pool.

They have 1 big pool, 1 small cold water pool, 1 kids pool and 2 small jacuzzis (the other one was mineral pool). Unless the cold water pool, the water in the pool was warm and nice.
In the big pool, enjoy massage by the fountain or the massage pool. Totally recommended.

Close enough from the city, easy access with bus from the centre, about 15-20 mins.
Good food still, nice atmosphere for those interested in such matters. Races on Tuesdays.

Leo's Leikkimaa in Lielahti is a brand new indoor playground. It's huge, probably three times the size of HopLop in Onkiniemi. As in HopLop adults and babies under 12 mo are free. However there were not that much activities for babies. For older kids - yes.

Marien Muotokuvat delivered a superbly balanced, atmospheric, and well-crafted escape room experience. The room featured several unique puzzles and quirks that were new to us. The challenge level was just right, pushing us to think creatively and solve problems in unconventional ways.

The host was equally impressive—professional and personable. He generously took the time to chat with us after our session and even recommended other great rooms to try.

    Definitely a 5/5—highly recommend!

Visited here for some games in the Ice Hockey World Championships. Nice stadium, helpful staff. Decent selection of drinks and snacks etc. Prices are about what you would expect in an arena, a bit higher than outside but not much. Alcohol not allowed inside except in designated area outside of the seating. All round decent facilities, efficiently run, everyone was body searched and bags checked but did not lead to queues.

    Room: Train

This was clearly the best built escape room i have been in. Lockless rooms and rooms without a way to track time the best way to make the experience unique. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to trying the other rooms.

There is a Sighthound Racing Track at Kauppi, only few kilometres from city centre. It's a walking distance. The Track is wooden and it is in the woods; so there is relaxed athmosphere. People are jogging, walking or nordic walking at the area or taking dogs to walk. You can pick up berries or mushrooms there.

Sighthound Racing World Championships was held here 6.-7.9.2014. This is not for everybody; but when you see dogs running, and they run really fast; you might get interested. Everybody has own favourite by looks or by results.

Nice to spend here some time and then walkaround or back to the centre.
