It is very easy to get lost in this park. It is a very wooded area and essentially a nature reserve. I ended up wandering down paths and walking up staircases (all the time smelling wonderful pine forests and seeing a lot of birds) and not knowing exactly where I was. Once I found the observation tower (not all of the signs accurately point the way), I made it through the entry line (which is also the entry to the cafe) and walked up the winding staircase to the top (there is an elevator for those who don't want to walk) where the views were quite spectacular. You can walk around the whole top of the tower to get a 360 degree view of Tampere and region.

There was a nice gelato stand near the observation tower. I didn't try the apparently famous donuts.

Plenty to see with the 15e admission. Game Museum, Ice Hockey Museum and a Rock Museum to mention few, make sure to check out all the available exhibitions before you arrive. We loved the gaming museum as you could play the games and see some real gaming relics, like the good olg Hugo game with phone-controller!

The museum shop is also filled with gaming themed stuff and it is hard to leave without buying anything...

I loved our visit to the Moomin museum! I especially enjoyed Tuulikki Pietilä's miniature art based on Tove Jansson's stories. They were truly beautifully detailed. Our 4-year-old daughter was slightly frightened by some parts of the museum because the lighting is very dark. Our favourite bits were the miniatures and the giant version of The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My. Well worth the money to visit.

It was certainly the most outstanding church in the town. Didn't check the inside of it thought. Nice nonetheless.

This is a rather misnamed museum. Although it is in the building where Lenin met Stalin in 1905 and plotted the creation of the Soviet Union (and you can stand on the very spot were it happened), the actual museum deals with Lenin in about two or three cabinets and suddenly you are in the middle of the complicated relations between Russia and Finland that have existed since 1917. Good treatments of the Finnish Civil War and the Winter War and "War of Continuation", and then the collection gets very muddled indeed. It is hard to know what this museum is actually trying to do with their esoteric collection of Finnish artifacts and Soviet kitsch.

The museum is closing in a few months to open in 2025 with a new theme that will be more in keeping with their actual opinions now.

I enjoyed my visit. And the admission price was certainly reasonable. And they were one of the few places in Tampere I could find good tourist maps.

A picturesque location by the shores of Lake Näsijärvi and a lovely place to go for a sauna with locals. 2 saunas with varying heat and two lake areas to dip into allow you to cater your sauna experience based on your desire that day.

Great exhibition of the various developments in living conditions in the area. The guide was great and it definitely added to the visit.

One of the best museums in town.

We arrived early to visit the amusement park which is the main attraction. The elevator ride was fast and smooth. Enjoyed the great views.

A lush island with an outdoor theatre, a restaurant, cafes, a playground, small beaches and a nature trail (about 1.3 km / 1 mile). A very nice place to spend a summer day.

The Finlayson Area is a fantastic area close to water.
It was build by a Scottsman as a Cotton Mill and to day this big area is full off different life, Museums, dining place, theater, shops and offices and lots of things to do.
Go there and see the history of Tampere.
