If you are lucky you can find some bads behind the statue. If you visit Kronborg don’t miss it.Written October 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AmericanKotFort Worth, TX236 contributionsWhen walking between the rail station and the castle, a small detour takes you into the narrow streets of Helsingoer, where you will pass by this large, ancient church.Written May 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gitte BHelsingoer, Denmark48 contributionsI really like this small palace and the garden that belongs there. The palace is often closed. Inside is nothing much as the place is being used for small concerts or private functions. But the garden and surrounding forrest are really nice for a walk. It is 1 min.walk from Hotel Marienlyst.Written March 8, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Torger BCopenhagen, Denmark1,382 contributionsMost people doesn't recognise this beautiful sculpture when driving by, so it is recommended to walk by slowly and make a stop to recognise the sculpture and all its details. You easily start wondering who made it, when, and at what occasion.Written June 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gitte BHelsingoer, Denmark48 contributionsThis lovely art gallery has both local art and art from all parts of Denmark. It looks small from the outside, but the gallery are in two floors and worth a visit.
It is located close to the square 'Axel Torv'.
I think the prices are very fair and the gallery are definately worth a visit.Written October 3, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ann CBispham, UK453 contributionsFrom a distance, the gleaming figure looked like a highly polished 'Little Mermaid', but closer inspection revealed a merman, lightly spattered with bird droppings, aka Han. It would have been good to understand why this figure had been set there, other than as a possible counterbalance to Copenhagen's more famous, but less shiny, original. The other thing about him is that he is not located in the water as his female counterpart is, so close-up photographic shots are much easier to capture.Written April 30, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - permiaIreland40,931 contributionsCrafted in 2014 by the Japanese artist Hideaki Shibata it's a powerful reminder of the volumes of detritus resulting from modern life in the developed world.
Comprising waste washed up around the Oresund, plastics and metal in multitudes of convenience items are used.
It’s one of a number of such works by the artist around the world, but primarily in Japan.Written November 6, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately it is very hard to find any information about it. It's right in the city centre and Helsingor isn't very big to walk.Written August 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - vitorbabrazilSalvador, BA9,311 contributionsThe Dano-Norwegian artist-duo Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset created "Han" ('He'), now on show at the far end of one of the port's piers, opposite the culture centre.
This sculptural work features hydraulics, which cause the male figure to blink at intervals as he gazes out to sea.
Elmgreen and Dragset have made further interventions praising male figures and world acknowledged by their work with the gay community. This statue shows how full integration and respect a a deep part of Denmark's mentality.Written June 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
